I got the notification that my Shave Den order had shipped. Not remembering having placed an order, I was quite confused for a few minutes before I finally figured out that it was the SOTQ. Sadly, I still haven't gotten it yet and I have no idea what the scent is...
I reckoned that it would be a couple of weeks till I heard about C3. I have been trying to forget about it...oh well...I can't wait!
I would expect you to see it in a few days. Yup. The scent is a secret. No one knows but JoAnna. It was decided when we first started this that JoAnna would have the pleasure of surprising us all with the scent of her choosing. We try to keep the scent a secret for about a month to make sure those who may get their S/COTQ later don't have the surprise spoiled. So, when you get your soap, shhhhh...
Just got my COTQ today! I knew there was a reason I didn't shave this morning. I definitely would not have ordered this one off a list of scents, but I found myself really enjoying it and may soon order a cologne in this scent to use as a body spray. Thanks JoAnna! I really like your choice of containers as well. No muss, no fuss!
Got two today! One scent is so-so, but the other is rock your socks incredible! I won't spoil the surprise, but who knew that Sumatra had such incredible flora!? Great job!!!
Any chance you could share the notes with us, JoAnna, or would that be too close to spoiling the surprise?
Received my COTQ today, scent is strong! The texture seemed a bit different than my other shave den wheat, but I'm guessing it got a bit warm during shipping. Will be using it with a straight razor tonight!
It's softer and sticker than the other TSD wheat I've used, It has the look I've come to associate with high end shaving creams, but it's denser than the aforementioned creams. Maybe the TSD Wheat I got from the travel box was past it's prime or JoAnna's developed a concentrated shave cream for the COTQ. Either way, I like it. This shave cream makes me think of shaving in the evening as well. This is a good "bedtime" scent, and a great choice for summer.:2thumbs:
I'm confused... JoAnna does a new scent each quarter for the S/COTQ membership... Did you purchase two scents of soap/cream from JoAnna?
Mine came in yesterday. Smells great! I figure I will go for a nice relaxing shave tomorrow on the holiday.
I let mine sit with the cap off overnight and its just like my other TSD wheat. Still smells STRONG so no worries. This scent brings me back to early childhood for some reason! Love this cream, maybe its odd texture is because it was so fresh?
That must have been it. I left the cap on. I didn't want to let any of that goodness escape. My only worry right now is how long is this cream going to last me? I think it will make it to the next quarter if I use it in rotation. I'm going to try to keep track of how many shaves I get out of it.
