I would be interested in finding out if your results are different using bottled water. If you don't have it anymore or are sick and tired of me grilling you, don't worry about it.

I think some folks have water chemistry that just doesn't agree with certain soaps. I don't know that it's necessarily water hardness that's the issue either. I find Mystic Water to be one of the easiest lathering soaps I have, yet some folks with a LOT of lathering experience have a hard time with it. This could be the same thing. I find Maca Root super easy to lather, yet Jim has trouble with it and I have no reason to doubt his lathering skills.

I find Maca Root to be on par with the T&H creams as far as lathering, cushion & glide. Only the scent is different to me. I've heard they're both made by Creighton's, which could account for that.

I haven't tried it yet. I did just get a tube at the local mall. I didn't think they would have it at the cubbyhole of a store, but they did. My girlfriend spun the wheel and got a 50% off card. I should have bought more, but I'm not sure I am going to like the scent. It seems a little too perfumy. I'll find out in the morning.

It'll smell a little different (only you can say if that's good or bad) once you get it lathered up. Great cream, though. I like the scent.

I broke down and bought some after someone around here mentioned a big sale. I start using it tomorrow. :)

The scent wasn't too bad once I lathered it. It lathers like crazy and has good glide. It is going in the rotation.

+1 ...I hardly even noticed the scent and wow does it lather.

Big fan of it. Both the scent and latherability. Bowl or face, badger or boar..

As an update, I'm impressed with this stuff and I'm not a cream guy. But, this is a lather power house, easily on par with Arko stick in that respect (and it smells a lot better. lol). One thing I do that might be a bit different is that I let the open jar sit out between uses which dried the cream a bit so that it's now more of a soft-soap consistency. Now, instead of taking out a glob and lather that, I can lather right on the cream itself (like puck lathering).

3 years ago I couldn't stand the scent, now its the only cream I have used up in months hell years, it is what it is good.

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

It's shockingly good and has rocketed to #1 of all my creams and soaps. The fact I can get it almost anywhere in the city (There's a Body Shop almost in every mall) just makes it a bigger bonus. I may load up on a few more tubs on Boxing Day. The Maca Root Facial scrub feels great pre-shave as well.

The pre-shave oil isn't bad either, 3 pumps and it doesn't leave any oily residue on the brush or your face afterwards, I use this stuff with my higher end brushes.

I got a tub of this for Christmas a few years ago and never really used it. Now that I'm getting into DE shaving, I'm going to though.
