  2. 07/13/2012, Friday

A hot shower to und0 the stiffness from the nights sleep. Today's brush was warming up.
Facial prep with Proraso glycerin bar..
Vulfix 28 was today's featured brush. It did a stellar job in lathering Taylor Street Avocado.
Day three for the Gillette Gold Tech, Zorric combo. Unlike the Gillette yellow three passes were called for to bring the desired results. When wet shaving with two or three passes it is still a really enjoyable shave.
Today the results were a stellar DFS. Finishing touches cold water splash, RazoRock alum, and Three Flowers. IMG_0428.JPG

  4. Friday:

    Honeybee unscented soap
    HIS synthetic brush
    EJ-DE89l
    Sharp blade
    TSD unscented aftershave milk

The Sharp blade was in a sample assortment I got over a year ago. Never tried one. I got satisfactory results from 3 passes, but the blade felt a bit rougher than I like. Not on list of possible future buys.

Wowzer, that new Proraso Green cream is DA BOMBBBBBBBBB - a little bit on both cheeks, a wet brush, and BINGOOOOOOOO - rich, thick lather in no time with the same good menthol sensation. The Aqua Velva felt great afterwards, and the 444 balsam added its own special freezing feeling. I should also mention that the Rapiras are my favorite blades now. ;) :D

Result: Best shave with my KB so far. This was about my 7th time with the KB, doing 1st pass WTG on cheeks only. Last weekend I pushed for a whole face straight shave, and it was a mistake as awkwardness took over. Now I am back to cheeks only, and already my grip and feel have improved significantly. Am relearning the meaning of patience. I think I am going to like straight shaving a-lot.

    Boker King Cutter
    5/8ths full hollow spike point
    Omega Professional brush
    The Real Shaving Company s/c
    M&L Florida Water a/s
    4711 e de c

I got out the RSC cream again to see if I'd have better luck with it second time around. I used a ton of it - about a third again as much as I'd use of Proraso - and some really hot water and got a heaping bowlful of excellent lather.
The old Boker did what it always does and I got myself a nice shave :)

    Have a great day

    Graham
