I think the Gada Cool Mint cream is among my top 5 favorite choices of creams. I love the beautiful minty/lemony scent and rich easy to create lather, as well as the strong menthol feeling it gives. The 444 and Alcolado Glacial are also a formidable menthol combination which keep your skin feeling cold all day long.

This is one of the coldest set-ups anyone could find - The QCS Vostok cream is not for anyone who cannot tolerate powerful menthol. It's so strong that it can cause your eyes to get watery, and the cooling sensation lasts for long after the shave. The Diana Sport balsam from Austria is as strong as the ISZ aftershave milk, and it's also very moisturizing. The Alcolado Glacial is a pleasure to splash on for extra iciness!

 

Menthol Monday:
TSD ISZ Preshave Balm 20 minute marinade
TSD ISZ soap & wheat cream whipped up in a Ayar's Bowl
Thayer's Medicated Superhazel mixed with 3 drops M-Bomb
The Penguin followed 20 minutes later with TSD ISZ Aftershave Milk

 

I actually find the Penguin a little colder than the ISZ milk - just a bit, not much!

 

For sure,I reckon the list is something like this :
1-Ossage Rub (The Rub)
2-Vostok shave cream,I shaved with this a few days ago and it almost made my eyes water in fact it may be colder than The Rub
3-alcolado Glacial (The Penguin)
4- TSD ISZ all forms it is indeed very close to the Penguin
5-444 maybe not as frosty on it's own but as a additive it enchances any splash

I didn't add M-Bomb to the list as it's really a additive and will make anything more frosty even shampoo for those who have hair

Very good grating for these menthol products. Myself, I find the Osage Rub less potent than the ISZ milk or the Penguin. I do find the Vostok cream to be VERY slightly LESS cooling than the ISZ soap or cream. The 444 is very cooling on its own, but I find that the Visal or Vifrex gels from Italy are colder feeling and give equally good soothing and skincare. Here are the Visal and Vifrex gels.

 

Not an exact science,hard for me to tell,usually I'm using a Proraso Preshave or ISZ Preshave, so that bumps it up for me.I do find that sometimes The Penguin feels colder than The Rub same with Vostok and ISZ.I have to try the Vostok aftershave balm,I hear it's downrite eye watering

One of the hottest summers we've had in years, but I've got the tools to keep myself cool and comfortable. The Godrej Menthol Mist cream not only delivers a nice scent and plenty of lather, it guarantees that you will freeze your face off. After your shave, some 444 and Osage Rub will almost numb you!

Myrsol Formula K mixed with a pea sized amount of 444

The Myrsol is not as face numbing as The Rub or The Penguin but it has a nice minty scent that fades rather quick.A good choice if a EDT or Cologne is in the future.

There's nothing like freezing your face off and enjoying it. The Lea Menthol cream smells delightful and lathers like a maniac. The menthol sensation is even stronger than I realized. The 444 balsam not only gives amazing cooling, it prevents dryness and irritation. I wish the tubes were bigger. The Osage Rub can even numb your hands - that's how cold it is!

I have been doing a lot of comparing between different soaps and creams lately, and I definitely find that the 2 Proraso Green versions have differences. In any case, they are both good, but I admit that I prefer the new formulation. Guys, unless you are able to tolerate heavy menthol, don't touch the Diana Sport balsam, because it's EXTREMELY powerful - even stronger than Osage Rub and Alcolado Glacial.
