Prep: Brush soaking in hot water, face scrub with TSD Sandalwood soap, Tepid Water Shower

Blade: Unknown Blade 3, Shave 1
Brush: VIe-Long LE Beehive Natural Horse Hair
Soap: Tabac
AS: Aqua Velva Musk
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave.

Day six of the blind blade test, which is the 1st shave with blade number 3.

Per the guidelines of the test I will not be posting my results of the blade, as we do not want other participants to be influenced by our own shaving experience. At the end of the test I will be posting my complete daily journal which I will share on Google docs for those interested.

All variables remain the same accept for the aftershave.

Got my latest order from JoAnna in the mail today. Lots of goodies, but what I was most excited about was the new Lanolin shave soap and the C40 shave brush. This soap is great, it lathers like a champion and is slick and smooth. The Queen really outdid herself with this one.

Good morning!

Today was yet another Gym day, very intense so I decided that the post-workout treatment would be a leisurely one. Very Zen and true Bliss; starting with a long Sauna session followed by a nice cold invigorating shower and then, the moment of truth:

No markings on this razor apart from a simple outline of a recurved bow on the tang. It's got a pretty set of bamboo pattern scales.

What a wonderful and relaxing shave I had this morning with my Dovo Bismarck today - it shows that even after not using it for many months, I never lost the touch and the technique. This Agressia cream from Bulgaria is very nicely-scented, and it gives FANTASTIC lather, with a lot of moisturizing. There's supposedly menthol in it as well, but I didn't feel any cooling sensation, so I had the 444 and Barbon a/s freeze me out!

Excellent shave this morning, the Toyo and Tabac are just slaying the whiskers and leaving my face feeling great. I dropped the loft of the brush a few mm (47mm) today and will do the same tomorrow (44mm). It will end up in a Simpson type Classic handle, no doubt, but not the one pictured. Have a good one.

First off, I would like to apologize for the boring SOTD pictures. I must admit that I am so bored of taking pictures of the same razor everyday. I tried to mix it up a little today but I think my effort failed miserably.

Great 2 pass face,1 pass headshave,BBS all around !!!!

JoAnna really outdid herself with the Tobacco Leaf.First the soaps and the splash really smell like tobacco leaf,this is not Tabac or Alt-Innsbruck or Vitos Colonia Tabacco,which are based on tobacco flower and other frags.This is the leaf and only the leaf,no powdery,sweet,citrus,just tobacco leaf.The soaps perform great,I got nice,yogurt consistancy,thick and slick.The scent on the soaps,both wheat and lanolin smell just like fresh tobacco leaf.The splash smells almost like a unlit cigar on me,plus it's not a strong overbearing scent either.I applied the aftershave at 8:30 AM,it's now 10:38 AM and I can still smell a lil tobacco,like I said,SWMBO had to get real close to smell it,and declared it a hit.
JoAnna also sent a sample of Jasmine shave soap,that I'm going to try tomorrow.The scent of this soap nails Jasmine,after I post this I'm off to purchase the Wheat Cream,Shave Soap,and splash.Without even trying it I already know it's going to smell great.
