The first day of a fourteen day trial with the Shake Sharp Razor. The balance is a bit different from my other razors. The head is just a tad heavy compared to the hollow handle. Guess it will take a bit of time to get used to.

Had a great shave, though. Close to BBS. Just along the jawline some stubble persisted.

Now let's see how the shaking sharpening system holds out. Since I've got a 14 days window and the razor exposes only one side of the blade, I'll be using just that one side of the DE blade. Courious if it'll work? You bet ya!

    Happy shavings!

Love the scuttle! The colours combine nicely and I guess it lathers up really nice with the glazing droplets on the inside. Enjoy!

My friend, Palmolive Menthol and Godrej Menthol Mist are even colder than the Lea Menthol, and I have this cream from Colombia called DENU which out-freezes even them. Let me show you a picture of it. There is also Iced Subzero soap or cream or Vostok cream from Queen Charlotte Soaps which are the 2 ultimate Supreme Freezers! :Animatedfrozensmily:

    Good morning.

My Wednesday shave yesterday consisted of a rushed and un-ceremonial one; I was running late getting out of the house:

    Logona Mann shave cream
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
    Gillette Sensor with new cartridge
    Bloc Osma alum
    Speick Men after shave

And my Moment of Zen this morning was still Zen but not the nicest, I’ve had due to the blade loaded today:

    Calani Cadre Noir shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
    Merkur Vision
    Voskhod blade (2nd shave)
    Bloc Osma alum
    Musgo Real Classic after shave

The Voskhod was pretty rough, something I had noticed on this very same blade’s first shave last week in a Gillette Red Tip. Then I attributed it to the blade being fresh out of its wrapping. Today however wasn’t any better so I discarded the blade after only 2 shaves. Instead of my regular Feather, I will load a Gillette Platinum into the Vision tomorrow; I found I still had a few lying around (together with a couple of BICs and ASPs…) A bit of spice in my daily bread & butter, i mean blade & razor does no harm... ;-)

Pre-shave: Marinated in Proraso Pre-Shaving Cream, Warm shower

    Blade: Personna "Labs"
    Brush: Muhle Black Fiber
    Cream: TOBS Sandalwood

Lovin' the scent of Sandalwood lately. I may use this for the next few shaves.

I was thinking of my dear friend Dmitry this morning so I decided to use my Everest cream today, and I'm glad that I did. This stuff lathers wonderfully, it smells sporty and nice, and it has a light, but pleasant cooling effect. The Visal gel and Osage Rub froze me out altogether. This shave was a smashing success! ;) :D

Best shave of the week so far, smooth and close. Pretty indifferent to the scent of the Palmolive Lemon but it performed well. Have a good one. It's been a crazy busy week.

Yes, surprisingly they do help with lather creation. The inner bowl was supposed to be painted as a hulled out watermelon and the bumps are seeds. But for my purpose I wanted the colors to work with the ones I chose for the Gravy boat. During the firing process the glazes sort of bled together and the raised bumps, seeds got more pronounced. I am really liking my homemade "Gravy Boat Scuttle" a lot!
