English Leather was big when I was a teenager. I haven't had a bottle in 30 years but I can recreate the scent in my mind in a split second. That's a nice story about your dad and English Leather. My dad used Old Spice - that's why I use it at least once or twice a week.
Okay. Here's an update on my shave den. I've added the rails for my razors (and the Lady Gillette fur die Frau). I have a couple of things out on loan to my daughter's boyfriend/fiancé, so it's missing a nice vintage Gilette old style, brush and cream, as well as my favorite Vulfix brush that I sent over to England. What do y'all make of this? Any suggestions. As an aside, when SWMBO saw my razors all hung up, she said to cool it. I didn't have the heart to say I'm waiting for one more to arrive!
Very Very nice Padre!!!! That other door would look nice with a rack or two for your brushes and maybe some straights.
I have my straights on the top shelf (a Dovo Forestal and two vintage straights). The strop is hanging on the outside on the left hand side. I'll have to think about how I want to handle my brushes... I'm open to ideas about how to hang the straights on the right door though--that way I can see them!
Ever see any shaving videos by "Geofatboy"? He hangs his straights in a clear pouch, each razor in its own home. I'm not sure how many pouches come in a hanger. It looks nice, secure and displays the razors well from what I can see. He may even sell them on his site.

Looks like what I used - just some L-hooks picked up at Lowe's. Screw 'em into a strip of wood, secure the strip to the cabinet door, there ya go.
