OK Jody, let me make the first post - and I'll make it a good one, I promise! For Labour Day, Menthol Monday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/new Rapira Egyptian Palmolive Menthol SC 444 AS Gel Osage Rub AS Azzaro Pour Homme EDT No time for a straight shave so I do the next best thing - my Super Speed/Rapira combination is still a great way to get BBS. The Egyptian Palmolive Menthol cream has the same awesome lather and soothing, protective skincare as all the other Palmolive creams with a POWERFUL menthol effect. If it wasn't for the scent being so awful, I would use it on a more regular basis. The 444 gel and the Osage Rub extend the freeze for a long time into the day. Madame loves the Azzaro edt on me, and I love it too!

Jeff, I would describe it as a fresh scent, in my opinion. It has definitely Lavender in it which is, in my own opinion (having been to fresh Lavender fields in southern France often enough on vacation) the most natural Lavender scent I have encountered in my limited experience with shave soaps. Then there is a hint or two of something else, such as mint (actually, I am quite sure of the mint) and a little bit of something else but I can't quite place it, which makes the scent so refreshing. I thoroughly enjoy the soap, scent-wise and lather-wise.

Only one application of AS balm, and I felt the force was indeed with me. If you're happy and you know it clap your hands

6/8 T.I. MdC rehandled 26mm Thater knot AV Ice Sport Superb shave this morning. I dropped the Thater knot to 45mm from 50mm, quite a change in feel. I'll leave it there for a couple of shaves but my guess is that's where it will stay. I might even try a couple of mm shorter. Have a good one. upload pictures

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Monday September 3, 2012 Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, cold shower Razor: Cadet Open Comb mounted to an iKon Bulldog Handle Blade: Rapira (2) Brush: Semogue 1438 Boar Cream: Herbs of Bulgaria Lavender AS: Brut Original Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum Rub, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave. The Cadet Open Comb head paired to the iKon Bulldog really make a nice razor. Paired with the Rapira blade, it sure provides an effortless smooth shave. The Herbs of Bulgaria Lavender is fast becoming one of my favorite non-mentholated creams. It lathers great, is very slick and provides an excellent amount of cushion. In my opinion I do not have a finer brush than the Semogue 1438, as it is plenty soft, yet retains a full backbone. Two passes and touch-ups provided a BBS, with no nicks, cuts or weepers...cannot ask for much more than that.
