First time with the RR Zi Peppino. This is now the third La Famiglia soap I've tried and it hasn't wow'd me like the other RR products I've tried. i'll use up all 3 tubs I have before buying any more, and then I'll only have 1 tub at a time. I think it's a very good soap, but I like all my other RR's a bit better.

With this shave I've gone from 90% to 100% certain that this Gillette Old Type is my favorite, best performing razor. I could have stopped at 2 passes and got the shave I normally get with 3 passes on any other razor. Even my problem areas are not much of a problem with this razor. I'm eager to see how well it peforms with a Voskhod.

It is so nice to have this day off! Today I am celebrating the theme week and menthol Monday. All the while, sticking with my lanolin soaps.

Today's shave was amazing. I added 2 drops of M Bomb to my bowl and lathered up the TSD lanolin. After 30 second or so it was a nice thick cream. :) the shave went exceptionally well. I enjoy the weight of the carbohydrates. Heavy razors are very nice for me to use. It was dialed on 4 so I got a nice mild shave. :) After 2 passes I declared myself done. I got the perfect DFS!

Terrific shave today. I've been to busy/lazy for my st8 lately and I missed it. So glad I went for it. I'm still not getting super close shaves but my technique is much better and I can tell my stropping is improving.

I hope everyone has had a great “Labor Day”. I worked around the house and treated myself to a leisurely shave this afternoon. Feeling the razor slide along my face slicing through my stubble is a sublime feeling and a great way to pass the time. I got an easy 3-pass DFS shave today.

    Good morning!

My shave ritual on this glorious Tuesday:

Face wash with the Martin de Candre ‘Fougère’ soap
Pre-shave treatment with Musgo Real’s excellent oil
Face lathered Martin de Candre’s scented shave soap, using my Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
Theme week compliant Merkur Vision razor
Had to load a fresh Feather FH-10 blade as the Gillette Platinum of yesterday was running out of gas bite edge sufficient sharpness for my taste
Post-shave treatment #1 with the Bloc Osma alum; followed up with
Post-shave treatment #2 – D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

Wishing all of you East of here a good evening, good night and good morning and a wonderful day ahead.

I have a mug exactly like the one you have with your name on it. My parents got one for them and one for my brother and I about 28 years ago maybe...I think at JC Penney's. Anyways...looks exactly like it.

Very comfortably BBS shave with so little effort - the Super Speed/Rapira combination always delivers for me. I really enjoyed the nice cooling sensation from the Arko Ice Mint cream, and the heavy iciness from the Gillette Series balsam and the Barbon aftershave. ;) :D

    Brush: Men's Biz Super Badger
Razor: Merkur 34C with Merkur Platinum (2)
    Post Shave: Cold Water

Great shave this evening, and I am really impressed with the Proraso Red. I had enough lather in the mug for 3 passes with left over. After squeezing the cream off the brush on my 3rd pass I still had some in the mug. Great.

WTG / XTG / ATG with minor touch ups, though only WTG / ATG on my neck for a DFS.

Same combination as Sundays shave I know, but want to see the platinum blade with the cream through.

    Cheers,
