Hello, Shave Den. I am new to the board and to safety razors in general. Trying a safety razor is a bit of an experiment for me. I fancy myself somewhat of a throwback, so using a safety razor seems to be a perfect fit. Thanks to the advice on the newbie board, I am waiting to take delivery of a 1940's Gillette Ball End Tech. I look forward talking to everyone and learning this new skill. Hopefully, great shaves and a new hobby await.

to TSD.......Can you post pics of the razor when you get it? The tech head is a nice shaver and will fit a variety of handles.
Welcome to a fellow Washingtonian...I grew up in and around D.C......more than a few years ago....I mean, when I was a kid the Wash. Senators were a Ball Club...lol Although I left around '89 and haven't been back....I'm looking forward to heading back one day and checking out the old digs.... I can tell you, seeing the capitol and other monuments in dc are still a little awe inspiring. I guess when I no longer have that feeling, it will be time to leave. Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for the welcome! I have been perusing the newbie links and enjoying every minute. I can see, this could become an addiction pretty quickly. The new ball club in town is having quite a year. Nationals fever is catching on. DC is....well....DC, a world unto itself....and not always based in reality (hence the screen name) I enjoy it here. One day, I may leave, but I dot think it will be anytime soon.
