Prep: Brush soaking in warm water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, tepid shower
    Razor: Feather AS-D1
Blade: Feather New Hi-Stainless Teflon Coated (1)
    Brush: Semogue SOC Cherrywood Boar
    Soap: Tabac
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave

It may not be Feather Friday, but the Feather will be getting all of my attention until the touring Shake-Sharp from Ryan arrives. I will give a full review of the AS-D1 after a few uses, but I must mention the quality of this razor. The craftsmanship, presentation and quality of the Feather far exceeds any other Stainless Steel razor that I have used. It is in a league of it's own.

This is a mild razor, even milder than a Tech. A sharp blade, the correct angle and a heavy hand on pressure is everything when using it. I am sure that it will take me a few days (if not longer) to master it.

It is hard to go wrong with the products used today. The SOC loaded with Tabac is about as good as it gets for face lathering. The razor felt smooth and effortless against my skin. It took three full passes and a lot of buffing to get better than a DFS.

Top it off with the Krampert's and my skin feels almost as smooth as a new born. It was a really great shave today.

    Thursday:
    soak brush/Shavemac custom 167,2 band,d01,fan/DB Brush Scuttle
    warm shower
    Proraso PrePost cream
Mystic Water Coconut shave soap (face lathered)
    Pils 101NE/Super Iridium (3)
    warm water rinse
    Monster Block Alum
    warm water rinse
    Thayer's Lemon WH
Shulton Old Spice ASL (India)mixed with a small amount of 444

Another great shave from the Pils/SI combo,my usual 2 pass face,1 pass head,BBS all around.Usually I ditch the blade after 3 shaves, but this SI still has life in it,so I'm gonna push it at least one mo' time.

    Brush: Omega boar
    Razor: Blue Lady Gillette
    Blade: Treet
    Cream: TSD vanilla (with menthol)
    Pre: Lucky Tiger Vanishing Cream
Post: Alum block then TSD blueberry witch hazel

First time using Treet and I got a terrible shave. It gave me very bad leg irritation and I didn't find the blade sharp enough for my liking. No nicks though so that's my only positive about the blade.

The SI is still going and providing a DFS but I will be retiring it and going on to another blade. The SI's are very good performers IMHO.

Face Wash: Nivea Moisturizing Face Wash
Pre-Shave Lather: La Toja Shave Stick
    Pre-Shave Oil: T&H Ultimate Comfort Pre-Shave Oil
Shave Lather: Mystic Water - Rosalimone Shave Soap
Razor: Merkur 38M, Gillette Old Type
Blade: Star (vintage), Perfect Blade (vintage), Voskhod
    Brush: Semogue 1305
Post: Witch Hazel/Rum/Aloe/Glycern mixture followed by GFT Coral Skin Food

Vintage Blades do not like me. I started out with a palm-stropped Star in my 38M and it was tugging like crazy so I switched it to my old type. Not quite as bad, but still more than I could bear. I then repeated that cycle with the Perfect Blade and had the same experience. Finally grabbed my standby, the Voskhod, and enjoyed the rest of my shave and finished with a BBS.

I had been having trouble getting good lather from the La Toja but today I struck gold. NOW I can understand the love for this product! It's always nice when you can work with a product for a while and figure it out.

Great shave this morning, the edge on the razor is just superb. Close and smooth, BBS. The Boheme might be my favorite scent in a shaving soap/cream. It's a deep dark rose scent, to my nose anyway. Have a good one.

Had me a really nice shave, ending in a DFS++. The cold water soap has a nice, light scent. Used a wee bit too little water, but had a nice lather in the end. Me likee! :happy088:

    Have a nice day!

Started breaking in the new brush today and managed to make a very affective lather though am looking forward to when the 10066 is fully activated. Overall the shave was quite good, though a little disorganized. Have a great day..:)

It was a rough shave this morning...I must asdmit I was NOT focusing on the shave whatsoever, unless I was lathering. I was busy thinking about Iron Man (1) that I watched last night (lol). As a result I got some irritation under my chin. Anyway, the new SOTQ is very nice. I am always surprised how much nicer the scent gets when it is lathered. I now receive the lanolin version, so my face was very happy! :) I managed a 2 pass DFS, my standard for during the week.

    Happy Thursday Everyone!

Started the day with a hot shower.
Facial prep with Prairie Creations pre-shave soap
Semogue 1460 wad the chosen brush for lathering a sample of Mama Bear's Rose and Cedearwood.
Razor and blade change today, razor choice Gillette New style paired with a Polsilver blade.
First experience with the Polsilver, great blade. Very smooth and comfortable shave.
After three passes cold water splash, alum, Tet-A-Tet balm.
An outstanding shave, that was indeed a DFS.

    Hot shower w/ Tamarinda soap
    First pass- Cadet o/c w/Feather (4th)
Second pass- Gillette Knack w/Astra SP (3rd)
    Brush- H I S synthetic
    Shave Cream- Proraso red
    After shave- Barbon

Well the Cadet is certainly a beast. Big, heavy, and agressive IMO! It was infair of me to use it the first time with a 4 shave feather in it so I will do it again tomorrow loaded with a new Astra SP. I had to switch over to the good ole Knack for the touch up on my neck chin and upper lip. Also used the Proraso red for the first time today and it was very nice. I think I will use a few drops of M-bomb with it next time. Finished with a splash of Barbon aftershave. It is very cooling and nice but was an unfortunate choice after the mauling I gave myself (should have used something alcohol free). But in the end I do have a very smooth face! Cheers!

    • Prep pre-shave cream
    • Arko Commando shave cream
    • TSD M-Bomb menthol
    • H.I.S sythetic brush
    • iKon OSS
    • Kai blade (3rd shave)
    • Arko Commando AS gel
    • Musgo Real AS lotion
Had to get up quite early this morning. Went with the iKon OSS because it is a mild and forgiving razor which allows me to shave a little bit quicker. However, quick for me is still a good thirty minutes from start to finish. Today I did two passes with the OC side and the last pass with the CC side. The Musgo Real is a really nice after shave with a very traditional scent. Very nice DFS three pass shave.

    Cheers, Lyndon

DFS achieved. Although plenty of tug on day 2 of the shark. I will save them to send on to someone later in the future. Astras are the one. Never a problem. Just trying to use the sharks I bought when I purchased my razor.

Once again I was thinking of my dear friend Dmitry, so I decided to shave with some stuff that I had received from him. Tet-a-tet cream and aftershave balsam do everything right - the cream lathers wonderfully, smells great, cools and soothes, and the balsam adds more cooling and protection. The Osage Rub not only froze my face, it even made my eyes water a little! ;) :D
