I don't regret my purchase now. It's not here yet, but I think I have to stop after this. On the other hand, I have some TSD lanolin and Wheat Cream coming in either today or tomorrow. So I'm the works of having an amazing shave.
Twenty bucks shipped ain't a steal(figure $15 for the razor and $5 for shipping), but it is a reasonable price, for a decent condition 40's SS that will bring you ALOT enjoyment! Besides the way it looks "as of now" the price is only going to go up. When I first got R.A.D. and started buying razors a couple of years ago spending $5-$15 would make me uneasy . NOW dropping $50-$100+ for a razor is nothing, IF its a razor I want in the condition I want it in . Also Think of how "BAD" you would feel if you waited a year and the PRICE went up to $25-$30 shipped or WORSE they became HARD to find like a Diplomat or a President. Then how would you feel. As for YOU spending too much money on razors you haven't YET!! If R.A.D. bites you HARD, then you'll start to spend "TOO" much money. But the UPSIDE is you'll probably run out of "AFFORDABLE" razors to buy before you run out of money to spend. Besides the problem isn't spending too much money, rather it's not having enough money to spend! "YOU JUST CAN'T HAVE TO MANY RAZORS"!!! I think someone famous said that?
Oh dude, I know what you mean. I think since I'm still relatively new to this endeavor, I'm still trying to justify why I do this when people ask me why. I just say I get the best shave I've ever gotten. Yeah it sucked at first and my face looked really bad for a couple months, but now except for a couple problem areas, my face has cleared up a lot. The one thing I remember about the army is noticing all these people with really bad shaves. I mean a lot of people were on shaving profiles and had horrible razor bumps. I think now in basic they only allow cartridge razors. I guess they're afraid DE blades can be easier to use for suicide or a weapon or something.
All you have to do is shave with it one time. Buyers remors cured!!! I've done the same thing with a Sheraton but once I used it I was very happy with the purchase!! Now I'm debating having it replated! You got a nice razor and will certainly ejoy it! Happy shaving and cheer Ryan.
Do not worry about it! If everyone confessed, we all have paid too much in our opinion or gotten the wrong article or a dozen other things ... You are in the same boat as the rest of us. No judgment from me since I am guilty myself.
Nice Razor. If you're having buyers remorse, let me know & I'll take it off your hands Thanks for posting the picci PLANofMAN.
T minus 21 hours til my new baby arrives. it's also the day for my TSD haul to come in. I'm so excited in case you didn't notice.
Every time I see this thread pop up as new, I keep reading it as, "I think I HONED myself." I may need professional help soon.
Don't feel bad. I saw the initials "MWF" on here once and automatically thought of Modern Warfare. Total face palm moment.
I maintain the properly prepared MWF is one of the easiest soaps there is to lather. Of course you do have to soak it until it absorbs 3 or 4 ounces of water first. Properly hydrated MWF is a totally different animal than the poor chunk of soap you get in the mail.
Ladies and gentlemen, the eagle has landed. I'll put it to the test with my new score from TSD. Check SOS for the results.
