We have had no heat for the past four days. Now I am waiting for the HVAC repairman to bring a new fan motor for a just out of warranty-5 year old Trane unit; the fan motor which should cost $50 IMHO is $525 which really sucks. The HVAC company that installed it said prices would continue to go up and quality down because of continuing government regulation.

This morning my shaving journey took me to Egypt, and this version of Palmolive Menthol cream is just as icy and skincaring as the Italian one. The lather is also just as rich, but the thing that stops me from giving this cream the symbol is the scent. The 444 balsam and the Alt Innsbruck extended the freeze beautifully. This was a super-nice Level A menthol shave!

I used an artisan soap this morning, pretty indifferent to it. It did everything o.k. but didn't really stand out in any area. I did end up with a very good shave but I'll give most of the credit to the Filly and finishing with the Astringent 320. I need to quit buying new soaps. I have plenty. Have a good one.

Another great shave from The Snake,the ProGuard still sharp and smooth,I'm thinking it may make it to 20 shaves,I'll see after the next shave or 2.

• Soap: The Shave Den Sandalwood
• AS: Aqua Velva Musk
• Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash of Aftershave

A very close and comfortable shave today. I spent a little extra time with the buffing and j-hooks on my neck to get close to a BBS, but who cares I love to shave

 

Which Turkish Horse hair brush are you using? I have 2 that I plan on getting soon. Im getting way more interested in all the turkish supplies.

 

Dang! I really didn't need to see that handle. I didn't even know it existed, and now I feel it coming on as strong as ever...

Jeff; I love your SOS posts...I always feel as though I've gone somewhere far away and exotic...and while there grabbed a great shave... ..Kind of like "Traveling the World from behind a vintage Super Speed, Shave-a-logue... Not to mention, I always feel refreshed after vicariously sharing your menthol...

I know, I have been waiting to purchase one for about 10 months and they finally came back into stock. The head that is on the razor is garbage, but at $28 for the razor, who cares, as the handle is so worth it. It looks nice on all of my open combs, but especially the NEW, at least in my opinion.

How's that Polsilver/Iridium blade? I still have some Iridium's and some Polsilver's-had heard rumors they were the same. I suppose they were true. Either way I really like both blades.

• Blade: Feather (new blade)
• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
• Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse

Absolutely excellent shave! After 15 hours there are just a few whiskers starting to pop up. One of the closest shavers I've ever had!
QED gives a great lather and the Valet knows how to handle things when aided with a fresh Feather blade! Yes, I had a few weepers today, but they were closed when the next pass came along.
