    Eucerin moisturizing cream
    Omega 10083
    MWF
    Merkur 23c w/ Kai stainless
    Cetaphil gentle cleanser
    Master Bay Rum

On a whim, three pass DFS++. Had a little time so went for the three. Would have been BBS with touch-ups.

I thought about a cream today, but couldn't commit. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe I'll pull out my T&H Ultimate Comfort cream tomorrow just for the theme week. It's hard to put the MWF away!

Been using a new iKon OSS with Personna Red..

Interesting razor.. I've found a three pass plus touch-up has been the best strategy, but oddly, the touch-up with the OC side is best and has left zero irritation!

Ditched the handle that came with the OSS, and mated the head with an iKon Deluxe, Classic handle. Makes for a perfect setup.

AoS soap.. Lathers nicely, scent is meh
    Semogue Owners Club
    Alum & cold water rinse
    Very Sexy moisturizer for post

I wanted to try a different blade, and picked out a pack of Shark Super Chrome from the storage bin.
First impression was not good, but it got better after half a dozen strokes. A mediocre blade that does the job, but will probably not be included in my rotation.

    Sharp Super Chrome
Fitjarsoaps Slåtterøy - Wonderful cream with a lovely scent.

This shave was at the hotel in Nagoya, Japan. I woke up early and was working quickly and I actually forgot to apply the Floids pre-shave gel. I thought something felt different while I was doing my first pass. I really like the Emofresh cream and the Floids "The Genuine" is truly a world class after shave. Low alcohol content, zero burn and a very manly traditional scent.

    Cheers, everyone!

Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui EDT

Yablonev'iy Tsvet in Russian means apple seed color, and this cream has a very unusual scent which is quite nice. The lather is rich and easy to create, and the skincare is VERY soothing and good. The Tabiano gel is awesome - very moisturizing and soothing with a mild cooling sensation. No complaints about today's shave! ;) :D

Continue to explore the iKon OSS... Now on an iKon Classic handle.. The OSS handle just doesn't work for me..

    IKon OSS
    Israeli Personna
    Semogue 2011 LE Boar
    Tom's of Maine
    Alum & ice water rinse
    EJ Sea Buckthorne moisturizer

The ToM cream isn't the best latherer. But there is something about it that keeps me coming back. The OSS continues to impress.

    • Prep: Brush soaking in hot water, face washed with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser, luke warm shower
    • Razor: Merkur 41R 1904 Open Comb mounted to Alabastron Tortoise Handle
    • Blade: Personna Med Prep
    • Brush: Semogue SOC Cherrywood Boar
    • Soap: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus (New Formula) with added Menthol
    • AS: Mennen Skin Bracer
    • Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash of Aftershave
Lately the only time I cut myself is changing blades, and sure enough this morning I cut deep into my forefinger. Maybe my blood spilling on the blade is making a sacrifice to the shaving gods so they then bless me with a nick free shave. Okay more than likely not, but it sounds like a good theory if you ask me.

With only a month left until the Zombie Apocalypse time is going by too quickly to be out of Skin Bracer. I picked up a fresh bottle last night and this is the first time I have had all of the "classics" to compare it too. I love the stuff, but am I the only one that thinks it is like a mentholated Clubman/Brut/Canoe scent? In my opinion is needs more menthol so I will be adding more to it.

I have noticed that the Proraso in a tub works better with hot water than cold. Although I am a cold shave advocate, I must admit that I have been enjoy the hot lather followed by the instant face freeze of the Proraso with the added menthol.

A nice DFS today, was not pushing it as I slept in an additional 30 minutes. Now just to get through today to enjoy a nice long weekend of doing nothing.

Well my Wednesday shave was unexpected.

Last evening I found a sample of GF Trumper Almond in the cabinet and decided that I would finally try it today. Since the greater and lesser SWMBO were out last night and since I normally get up at about 0245 I went to bed before they got home. They got home about 2200 and it seems to have been fine with them that they woke me up to let me know that they had gotten home and to annoy the dog (the lesser did that) and get him all wound up. So about 2300 I finally got back to sleep and at 0200 the greater wakes me up because she is sure she heard a noise. Since the dog was still asleep at the foot of the bed I figured she had dreamed it.

So when I did start the morning shave - it was once again quiet in the house and I was having a wonderful time with my shave. When the greater comes flying through the door to get the thermometer because the lesser is up complaining that she doesn't feel good. She startled me enough that I put a "good" gash in my upper lip. Bleed enough that I was almost considering if it was going to need a stitch or two and of course on a day I had to wear a white shirt to work. Anyway it still looks like at least minor surgery was done, but oh well that is life in the big city. And the lesser only had about a 99 F fever going.

I liked the Trumper SC as a lather and for the rest of the shave I got. But in line with the rest of life's little trick it did remind me that along with gasoline Almond is one of the few things I can smell. And it reminded me it isn't really a scent that I like, but i do have had a craving for a cookie all morning.

Any way it was all the usual hardware except for the Clubman pencil which aside for smarting like crazy didn't really do much good, it never does. Thin blood or something.

So tomorrow is another day and a different SC. I think that I that I will go with TBS Maco Root (well everywhere but the upper lip which will probably not be touched.
