Not too bad for my first homemade soap.

I have done it. Being a wetshaver, and knowing what I want (this week anyway), I have produced my first shave soap. It is slick, lubricates and moisturizes, makes a great stable thick lather and smells the way I want it to. I did a large amount of research and this is what I came up with. It has a Lavender, Rosemary and Orange scent, it has no coloring to stain my brush, smells great. I will work on the scent some more to get what I want, but over all I am pretty satisfied.

This picture was taken about 8 minutes after my shave.

 

You have started me thinking about cooking up some soaps myself. Will need to learn to do this first.

By the way Queen, I traded one of the guys and part of my end was a TSD Bay Rum - quite nice scent. Haven't lathered yet, but I am looking forward to it.
