I really, really like the balm. It is very soothing. My problem is that I'm pretty much allergic to anything with scent and/or coloring in it. I even have to wear my tag less t-shirts inside out because I'm allergic to the ink. I put the balm on with a little dampness left on my face and it is really nice. I was afraid that it was going to break me out but, it hasn't. Try it, I'll bet you'll like it...
Sunday (Last day of Straight Week!) W.H. Morley & Sons TSD Preshave Prorasso Green (old formula) Semogue IBLE Speick AS Terrific shave today. I finally killed my tube of Proraso which was the very first thing I bought when I started wet shaving about a year ago. I also used my sample of Speick AS splash i got as a freebie with an order from IB I believe. I like it, very unique. I'm not even sure I needed to shave but I figured it was the last day of str8 week and I was going to finish it! I think this is the first theme week I've participated in on purpose and for the whole week. It felt good to accomplish that. Do I get anything for going the whole week? Cookie? Gold star maybe?
Jeff, it was you who converted me into Menthol and Tabac addict! Now I have 2 separate days - Tabac Sunday and Menthol Monday, so only 5 days of the week left for all other goodies. I have so many great soaps and creams I'd like to dedicate days for, but there are simply not enough days in the week! In the very first days of 2013 I was blessed by the idea to dedicate weeks (minus Mondays and Sundays of cause! ;-)) to certain products and hardware. I'll see how it goes, but SoS posts will be boring, as I'll get 3 set ups only for the whole week. As for the upcoming box - I found some extra creams I planned to trade in the past year and put it in 'your' box, so it is more then a dozen items there for now ;-). When our postal service will come back to normal work, I'll send the box to you. But man, it was so FROSTY! So I think I still like that level of Menthol and will repeat the set up.
My friend, please to not rush with the box because for now I am full up. In the month of March or April I will begin to take in some new stuffs but for now I am ok. The ISZ soap is soooooooooo cold and nice that it will be always a favorite soap choice for me and I have a soap from England called Nanny's Ice & a Slice which is also VERY frosty. Not too many artisan creams appeal to me as I said in my SoS post today, but ISZ and this Nanny's and a few others are wonderful. The Tabac soap is pure class and elegance! Hallo Thorsten! Mehr als einmal habe ich die Gillette Klingen verwendet, aber ich war nie mit ihnen zufrieden. Ich finde nicht, dass sie gute Langlebigkeit haben, und sie sind ziemlich hart. Ich bevorzuge die 7 AM Klingen aus Bangladesch und die Rapira Klingen aus Russland. Entweder dieser Marken kann ich ausgezeichnete und sehr bequeme Rasuren ohne Anstrengung erhalten. Pass auf Dich auf! Translation: More than once I've used the Gillette blades but I was never satisfied with them.I find them to not have good longevity, and they are quite harsh. I prefer the 7 AM and Rapira blades. With either of these brands I can get excellent and very comfortable shaves without any effort.
Hot soak Tabac soap Mohawk brush A beater Red Tip with freshly installed Ming Shi doors Big Ben blade Three pass BBS. The blade was starting to get rough on only on the third shave (but that's par for the course with this brand). Will save a/s for morning.
