YAY! My Open Comb baseplate from iKon came for my Feather All Stainless. Just a quick pass over my finger - this kicks the aggression up several notches and puts it on par with the Cadet OC. I'll throw pics up after work, but just wanted to let anyone who has an AS-D1 that if you want some more aggression on it, go for one of these 2013 baseplates, it's worth the $35. May have to reshave my head after work to give it a real try. Edit: As promised! PICS! As you can see, it fits perfectly. The colour difference is very slight and you really only notice it if you look for something out of place - and look hard. The verdict after my head shave? WOW. I'm extremely pleased with my new Feather AS-OC
This is my December/January combined haul. The Black handled razor is my Christmas Present to myself. It is a Cadet OC and boy is it ever sweet! I love the weight of it and it just eliminates any stubble on my face. I can get to a good enough shave in just one pass. But of Course I never stop there. Only problem is my wife has discovered it and I may have to get one for her now. The other Razor is a Merkur 42C I got from Justin, I had planned to give it to a friend that is just starting out but he declined and said he is not interested in the OC razors. I will hang on to it for him. I also got the MWF jar from Justin and it is currently serving as a Spare blade container until I can get a puck of MWF to fill it up. The Knife is one that I have had since the day I was married. It is a Sog Sidewinder II and I got it as a wedding gift from my bride. I "lost" it about a year ago and this year when we got out the Christmas Decorations I found it again. The handgun I inherited from my Uncle that passed away recently. It is a Taurus Millennium Pro in .40 S&W. It is very nice to shoot and has become a constant companion whenever I go out.
Thanks! It has successfully cured my RAD, actually. I wanted mid-aggression, stainless steel and open comb. Everything in a single razor. Couldn't be happier!
TITAN "R" BASEPLATE I just got my package from abovethetie.com. It is the "R" baseplate for my Titan razor. The R stands for regular and it is for use with normal beards. I will be giving it a try today. Lyndon
I received my Sight Half Seen straight razor today from whipped dog. :mail: Man, Larry uses fast shipping. I got it with the poor mans strop, so it came with a leather strop, a wood strop, oil for the leather, 2 abrasives for the wood, a little sample of Pinaud Clubman AS which I'm actually really excited about. Always wanted to try clubman, but didn't want to not like it if I bought it. Anyway here's some poor quality pictures. It's an Schmachtenberg Bros Climax "Celebrated Extra Hallow Grind Razor made in Germany. Came in the original case as well. I'm in love, didn't expect it to be in this good of shape, have heard that some of the Whipped Dogs come with a considerable amount of rust on them. Also, I left the Vaseline on the blade that he applies before shipping, so that's what the oily stuff is in the pictures.
For me, absolutely flawless. The feather itself is very well balanced, the only thing it was lacking was some real aggression that didn't need you to always hit that perfect angle - the new baseplate provides for that change. I really have no desire to get any other razor

This is a cool setup a blade for each day of the week and its adjustable a wilkinson razor also another autostrop looks like its nos as it has a cardboard blade in it and two five packs of blades in cellophane

New Brush came in the mail from China yesterday and the Clubman Vanilla came today. Man this clubman vanilla is heavenly after it smooths out.
Finally used my AoS gift card I received for Christmas. Picked up a refill puck of Lavender soap and some unscented pre-shave oil.
I ordered a Whipped Dog Silver Tip and a Straight. I didn't need a strop kit because I have a laptop strop. I can't wait for this stuff to get in.
