    Uh.....only 35 more posts now.

This is why I can't tell jokes. My timing is always off! :angry032:

well, carpy week has turned for the better a little...got the car fixed.
Not sure if I mentioned it a couple years ago (and darn sure not gonna search for it right now), but on an '02 Bonneville (and probably other Pontiac/GM models from that year frame with a V6), there's these two plastic "elbows" connecting the water pump to the block, which I had to replace back then because one busted.
    Guess what.....

but, it's running again, so a big "Yay!"

sorry to hear about everyone else's carpy days this week. There's more to mine that either A) I'm not ready to share, B) I'm not inclined to share, or C) I've already shared

My day has not started off well at all. Woke up around 6:00 am and told the Missus, "Better start waking up." When the alarm didn't go off within 10 minutes, after fully wakening, I looked at the clock again to realize it was 3:00 am!

Then, when the alarm *did* go off at 6:00, I apparently hit snooze without realizing it. So we started off 10 minutes behind today.

To top it all off, we have a Pride Assembly first thing this morning, and a stinkin' pep rally last thing today. I hate pep rallies.

My SE shaving tips & tricks thread (in the shaving school forum) has passed 100 views and has been added to the Shave School Master Sticky  and my Shampoo Bars sticky (in skincare) is getting close to 4,000 views.:cool:

Fired the grill up (yes, charcoal, of course. Gas is just cooking outside, which is, I will say, better than cooking inside, but still not real grilling, in my opinion ;) , but I digress) and dropped in a chunk of pecan wood for some additional smokey tasty-ness.
Nothing fancy, just some brats and dogs, but MAN was it good!

Isn't it a little cold for that?

    NEVER! I grill year 'round.
I have received some strange looks from the neighbors, though, when the snow's coming down and the smoke's going up!
I look at it this way, if it tastes good in the summer, why wouldn't it taste good in the winter? I say go for it!!

I'm with you. I grill all year long also. (no charcoal) just plain grilling.
However, I always fire up my smoker and smoke a pork butt or 3 or 4 in the winter. My neighbors love/hate it. I smoke low and slow for about 21 hours for a 14 pound shoulder, and the smell of the smokey, porky goodness drives them all nuts! After it is done I usually walk around and give everyone their share of the spoils, just to keep the peace.

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

I grilled a few steaks (on the gas grill) and made baked potatoes on the charcoal grill this evening. Of course, this is Houston and the temp got up in the 60's today, it was a beautiful sunny day. This is much better grilling weather than the summer, when it's 100 degrees outside.

got about that warm here in the NE corner, not sure it actually hit 60, but it was a nice day. Wish we'd had time to get out on the bikes, but, maybe Monday.

    Having a quiet day today:
    • listening to some music DVD's (Tubular Bells II & III live, Kitaro Live, Philip Glass's Koyaanisqatsi & Powwaqqatsi)
    • doing some home work for the job (looking for inspiration for some invitation cards)
    • SWMBO & daughter are baking brownies!
    • bought a Star razor for € 10,--
      dvMiToSGMbA==.jpg PQ==.jpg T6jtBUiupPcB5g==.jpg
    • cleaning the snow from the path (so as to earn some brownies!) - no biggie as it's only some 40 feet in distance and 'bout 3 inches deep
    • maybe some razor and brush maintanance later on
    • cheese fondue tonight!

    It'll be a nice day!

Busy day! Did you mistakenly give the minions the day off? Aren't they supposed to shovel the path and *bring you* the brownies? :D

When they cme back, give them a kiss for me. Minions do love kisses. I went to a meeting of my Bonsai club today. The people are very nice & I am learning a lot.
