Bitter cold weather is going to attack Montreal beginning this evening but I am prepared. I've got all the right equipment to stay warm, however I'm going to have a FRIGID shave tomorrow for:

Now that I will be receiving another Menthol Mist tube I don't mind using the one I have a little more often. It's the best cream Godrej ever created. A nice scent with awesome lather, and the menthol feels like 20 below zero on your skin. The Diana Sport balsam feels like 30 below zero, and the Rubby Dubby feels about the same - maybe a bit less. (trust me, it's BRRRRRR cold and beautiful!)

This blade is done. And perhaps I could give the E2 a little rest after 7 months of almost continuous service. Time for another injector, or I might even pick up a DE...

 

Woke up early to a 3 year old who hasn't yet mastered the concept of a blanket on a cold morning. Cleaned up last night's Bump Fighter wreckage with some soap and the ProGlide. Quick, easy, painless BBS.

 

Jeff, it sounds like you have the same weather pattern we are. It was 52 Saturday and 31 yesterday and came out for 21 with windchill of 12 this morning. Having to wait for public transit I just "enjoy" a real natural freeze. So until spring really gets here to the Northern end of the deep South most menthol is off the menu for a while.

This was a great 4 cube freeze and a nice and smooth shave as well

 

Great shave but still prefer my Semogue LE2011.

 

Nope, not Ernie - it's Burgess Meredith from one of the better Twilight Zones. It does look like Percy Dovetonsils, though.

• Razor: Merkur Mergress XL
• Blade: Gillette Super Thin (2)
• Brush: Vintage Stanley Home Products Fan Shaped Badger
• Cream: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus with added menthol
• Soap: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus with added menthol
• AS: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue with added menthol
• Post: Cold Water Rinse, obscene amount of aftershave

The Megress paired with the Gillette Thin is a perfect razor/blade combination for me, 2 full passes and light buffing and my face is smooth as a waxing.

My New Year resolution. I was attempting to buy only one razor this year and one soap. The razor I was looking for was a Henkels Friodur. Well, I put in a low ball bid on another razor (not a Friodur) and won it, so technically, I didn't really break it unless I pick up a Henkels later. I tried to weed out some of my razors Saturday, the plan was to sell some but I just couldn't do it. I had a good shave this morning. Have a good one.

Thanks Ryan! Yes, I had the same thought when I noticed what I had used today. It was not planned; it just happened which is well and good considering my German heritage.

 

How cool. I'm a Heinz 57 type of guy. The big ones are Puerto Rican, Scots-Irish, German,Corsican, English, French. The rest is all unknown.
