Wednesday Shick Injector Schick Blade The Colonel (best) TSD Lanolin Soap - TSD Signature DR Harris Marlborough AS Proraso ASB I haven't shaved since Sunday morning. Man did this feel great! Its nice to go from a full beard to BBS! Better yet, there is nothing like a going to sleep with a smooth face. The pillow just feels softer. (I just finished my shave...an evening shave) I went with the injector for the sole reason of the thick blade! With this much growth I need either a sturdy SE or an open comb...and I wanted the SE. Ah! And yes, I face lathered.

Being a slightly more aggressive Super Speed, it is a good match for my hard whiskers. The big Omega brush is a great brush for face lathering. It so big and so soft. The Figaro with added menthol crystals is a seriously chilly ASL. Excellent three pass shave today, very close and comfortable. Have a great day! Lyndon

Thursday: #6 Horsehair Super Speed/7 AM day 4 Aspis Ice Rain SC Svoboda AS Balsam Barbon AS YSL Pour Homme EDT The weather here has been as cold as hell since Monday but I don't care - menthol is my trademark, and it will always be. The Aspis Ice Rain cream from Bulgaria cools nicely and also soothes and protects very well against dryness and irritation. The Svoboda balsam is even cooler with terrific skincare, and the Barbon aftershave is a powerful menthol bomb. What a great shave I had today.
Today I didn't bother to check the weather until I had gotten to work, just figured it was going to be cold. Online it listed the temp as 18 F with a wind chill of 8 F. But with the new system it didn't feel that bad, cold yes but not extreme. Mind over matter I guess. The shave was pretty much the same as yesterday in the way of prep, razor and blade. But I did change the shave cream I used. Kapo Classic was this mornings choice. Wonderful lather, just like I knew what I was doing. Though to me it has kind of an off smell, I know my nose doesn't work all that well but it seemed to fade quickly. A lovely shave though, close, smooth and comfortable, nick free and near BBS what more can you ask for?!
6/8 DD Satinedge Klar Klassik 23mm Muhle knot Stephan Lilac Very close and comfortable shave today. Satinedge is appropriate to the feel of the shave. It's been very cold and dry and hard on your skin (I spend a lot of time outside in the elements). JoAnna's sandalwood balm or AS milk does an excellent job in the skin care department, it's first rate. Have a good one. image hosting sites

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Thursday January 24, 2013• Prep: Brush soaked in cold water, tepid shower, face washed with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser • Razor: Mekur Progress 500 • Blade: SuperMax Super Platinum (1) • Brush: Semogue 820 Boar • Soap: Proraso Green Tea and Oatmeal/Sensitive Skin • AS: British Sterling • Post: Cold Water Rinse, obscene amount of aftershave I want to give a shout out to my good friend and brother Roger (DEGuy) who sent me 300 of the SuperMax Super Platinums. Six months or so ago I had sent Roger a few packs of the them as they where my go to blade. I ran out of them but was not too worried about buying any as they where always available at a decent price from Razor Blades and More. Well sadly the blades will no longer be available in the US market. Roger had purchased a very large quantity of them and when I told him they where no longer available the next thing I know he sent me a tracking number. So thank you bro for the Supermax SP's, they are a great blade. I now have an obscene amount of blades, at least a 1000 (to be honest I think more), so it may be a while before I try anything new. With Thursday being named after Thor I thought why not shave with a razor that looks like Mjölnir. The SuperMax SP's was great in the Progress, although to be honest I do not know if any blade would be bad in the Progress. Have I mentioned before that I love the Progress? Everyone can argue their points all they want on the best razor, but after owning or testing over 80 DE razor I know that for my face there is not a better razor. I have not used the 820 in a while, I forgot how good this brush is, tons of backbone, very soft tips ones broken in, although it is a lather hog. Being that my boss in Anaheim enjoying the sun and fun at the NAMM show I have to go into work today since I am the only one with a key. Now to go into the office and infect everyone with what I have.

Thursday Feather AS-D1 Open Comb Feather (1) Geo F. Trumpers Extract of Limes SC Muhle STF 23mm 4711 A/S Wow what a beautiful shave this morning, the Limes doesn't smell too hot in the pot, but once its lathered it's gorgeous. Feather will now be my go-to blades, they just worked effortlessly with this razor and as I suspected, the Muhle STF may have ruined me for badger, feels just as soft but lathering takes zero effort and needs so little SC! Hopefully I didn't buy these other Simpsons brushes in vain, I'll have to test the Duke out when it gets here.

The Solingen is a Dovo second that was re-branded. There is a very small stain in the metal that I guess was the cause for rejection but, the blade's shaving performance is definitely Dovo quality. The Musgo smelled exceptionally nice this morning; great stuff!
