You can't imagine the talent it takes to fret chords when you have flippers!

Today I ordered some Proraso White New Formula and some Personna Med Prep Blades. I'm also still waiting for my stuff from Whipped Dog to arrive.

    Gaaaaah! I'm so excited!

So, how does the human mind work? I've been eyeing the Semogue SOC in cherry wood for some time now and finally pulled the trigger. And then saw the Semogue Limited Edition 2012 mixed boar badger and thought about that one exactly 10 seconds. That's not sane, is it?

You will love the 2012 limited edition. When they first came out I hesitated and almost lost out. Finally they re appeared at Shavetools and I didn't even think about it for a second. I really like the brush.

So far my favourite brush is the Pashana mixed boar badger, made by Vulfix. Best of both worlds for a face latherer like me, I really like the backbone of it. First run for one of the two brushes in 10 hours..

Still have 2 Simpsons Brushes that should be here Monday morning. I'm not sure how psyched I am about them now that I've used a Muhle STF. I will give the Duke a week to convince me to move back to Simpsons though. Already sold my Plisson this afternoon.

Eddies Menswear on Calgary Trail, carries most of the creams, a couple of soaps and most of the A/S's and colognes.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Simpson's compared to the Muhle STF, been tracking your journey to find the "Best" shaving brush. I'd like to have that one perfect brush at some point. My Whipped Dog Silver Tip is awesome although it annoys me that its still shedding hairs after two weeks of daily use. How are you liking the TOBS creams you've been picking up? I have some Jermyn Street coming in this week, expecting big things.

The big name British creams I've been grabbing have been fantastic and instant favourites of mine hands down. The skincare, scents and overall performance are just plain there for every tub I've opened. The Jermyn St. is great, the scent is different to be sure, however it's very soothing and moisturizing; even if you don't like the scent it fades very quickly.

I still have to break the Duke in a little bit, however preliminary afternoon touchup shave put another tick in the Simpsons column, as this brush is less dense than my Chubby which was welcomed as I don't always enjoy feeling like I'm shaving with a whole badger placed up against my face.

Just won this razor on the bay. It's listed as a 1932 Canadian Tech with Bakelite handle and original box. I thought it was unusual. Since I like Bakelite and I love my Canadian Tech with the fat handle, I Figured $16 including shipping was a fair price. I could only find limited info on the razor, so if anyone knows more about it, I'd appreciate it.

Since I stopped using MR GLO, I picked up some Floid pre-shave oil and just really wanted to see what all the hype was about for the high end English creams. I enjoy the smell of the TOBS, nice, fresh, not over powering, great lather that's easy to produce.
Not sure on the Floyd's yet, but I don't think I applied it correctly. Just to clarify, This is what should be done when using pre-shave oil: it's important to wet your hands first so that the oil does not soak into your fingers (forgot to do this) and you should also have a moist face. About 3 drops before 1st lather. Massage into your beard for 30 seconds or so.
