[IMG] today I used so many variables I don't really know what the main reason for my fantastic shave. Aos PS oil tobs jermyn street concord razor voskhod blade wd silvertip. Was one of my best shaves ever. Tomorrow I'll start experimenting to see exactly what part made my great shave possible

I thought about not shaving today since I don't have to go to work but I'm glad I did. Since I'm still getting over this flu, I took a long hot steamy shower and my whiskers were extra soft afterward so how could I resist a shave? The Personna injector blade went through my whiskers like warm butter. Nice effortless DFS. :)

    Prep: shower
    Brush: TGN silvertip
    Lather: Bigelow
    Razor: Schick G-type injector
    Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome injector
AS: Clubman - first time and I like it.

Todays Shower was all about the Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap. Love it!

    Shave was:

    Vanderhagen Boar Brush
    Edwin Jagger DL89
Shark Super Chrome Blade (Shave #3)
    Tabac Soap
    Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel
    Old Spice

Damn Fine Shave~ The lady even felt my face today, kissed my cheek & said, "mmm, thank you." She actually thanks me for shaving, lol. It's funny, like she thinks the old methods being used require a ton of effort, lol.... Better let her keep thinking that, LOL! Those sharks really aren't that bad on an EJ once you break em in~!!!

    KB Extra66 (5/8), 2 passes
    EJ DE86, 1 pass
    GilletteRubio (d1)
    L'Occitane Cade puck
    Rooney Stubby 2XL
    Proraso ASL
    English Leather Black Cologne

I have been using both left and right hands with the str8 since early February, and today I felt more natural and coordinated then ever. Did 2 full face passes this time, then finished with the EJ. The Cade has become my go-to soap for str8 shaving due to its extra slickness.

Again, I couldn't resist the urge to change my choice of shaving items - originally I was going to use a Mama Bear Lemon Ice soap, but when I saw the Noxzema tube I thought to myself, "man, I love that cream so much!" so that's what I went with today, and I'm happy I did. Today's shave was such a pleasure - it easily took me an hour to do. I'm so BBS that I'm almost as smooth as my wife and daughter! (not too much menthol today because I'm saving it all for tomorrow!) ;) :D

    1938 Gillette Senator OC TTO
    Personna 'Red'
    Arko-Nem moisturizer/Old Spice AS

Today I finally got to test the Personna 'Reds'...What a great blade...:)...Don't think it will replace my Perma-Sharp Supers...But did deliver a very smooth mild shave...
I grabbed 3 passes...slow and sweet... In all fairness I have to say...stroke for stroke I believe this razor gives just as steller a result as the shavette does...They both use a DE blade and the way this razor presents the edge to my whiskers is the optimum angle, with no safety bar in the way of most the blade...

Also this Senator is so pretty...to be looking at such a fine work of functional art while shaving adds a few more points to the shave in itself...:happy108:
    Shave was Great...irritation free...and smooth as a...you guessed it...BBS

Excellent shave this morning. This is the first time I've use a Harris cream and wow, I like it. I use to be a big menthol fan and I've kinda gotten away from it but what a nice refreshing shave this morning with a little more menthol than I was expecting. Great post shave skin care.

    Last night's shave.

Prep: hot shower, Axe Cooling face wash.
    Brush: TGN Grade A.
    Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech.
    Blade: Personna Med Prep.
    Soap: Palmolive stick.
Post: cold water rinse, Barbon AS.

These shaves were pretty DFS. I'm really liking this Palmolive stick and the Grade A brush. I think the real icing on the cake for me is the Barbon AS.

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

    2nd shave with an injector

Proraso preshave in the shower (just cause it feels good)
    Sommerset shave oil
    MWF
    Simpsons Special Best Badger
Schick G1 with Personna blade (2)
3 pass - WTG, XTG, ATG
cold water rinse-alum block-cold water rinse
    witch hazel
    Florida water

Real nice shave, I can see I'm going to like injectors. The personna blade magazine and key is a POS though. It was hell getting the blade in the razor properly. The old brass magazines and PAL magazine that came with the razor worked much better. They had blades in them but there was some rust on them so I cycled them thru the razor to empty them. I'm going to have to try loading the personna blades into the brass magazine.
