Prep: Wash with 365 French Milled Glycerin Soap (Unscented)
Pre-Shave: American Crew Pre-Shave Oil, with a Hot Towell for 60 Seconds
    Brush: Colonol Conk Pure Badger
Soap: Classic Brand Large Cake (Vanilla)
    Razor: Merkur 30c
    Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword (New)
Passes: N-S, S-N, Ear-Chin, Blade Buffing some trouble spots
Post Shave: Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse, Witch Hazel
Inspection: A Kiss from the Mrs. (She approved)

This was my first shave with a new blade, and with any Gillette blade, and it was a great experience. Probably the best shave I have had yet (about two full months into this new hobby). Might become the new #1...

Nice and smooth shave. I discovered myself using the same winning combos over and over again. The number of stuff in rotation is rather limited, but I do not want to add anything yet.

Ryan, Dodi has another recommendation for you - use a DE for a week. Stay away from the straight for that period, and just go LIGHTLY twice WTG. No ATG or XTG for you for a week so this way you can still be pretty clean-shaven without any more skin damage. ;)

    • Prep: shower, RazoRock glycerine pre-shave soap, VITOS pre/post
    • Razor: Mühle R89
    • Blade: Perma-Sharp (4)
    • Brush: Frank Shaving Faux Agate
    • Scuttle: "Estremoz" V2 Green
    • Cream: Kiss My Face Lavender Shea
    • Post: alum, jojoba oil
    • Aftershave: Taylor of Old Bond Street Jermyn Street, dab of Omega balm

I added too much water so when I did my second pass the lather was very thin and did not glide much. Then before the third pass I made another lather with less water and I've seen what this cream can do. Fantastic glide and cushion. It smells a like true lavender, which isn't my all time favourite scent, but it wasn't overpowering so it didn't bother me much. This brushless cream can definitely be used with a brush, you just need to get the water ratio right.

By itself, the Lord cream doesn't have strong menthol power but by leaving the Axe Chilled facial wash on for a couple of minutes it gives it a chance to add aditional cooling. I really enjoyed this shave a lot. The Alt Innsbruck really gave me a fabulous menthol punch! ;) :D

You just can't go wrong with the humble Tech! This fantastic mild shaver would be a great razor for anyone new to traditional shaving. I haven't used the VDH soap for a while. I made sure to use lots of soap and water and ended up with quite a good lather. Okay, maybe VDH isn't in the same league as Tabac but for around $2.00 per puck, it really is hard to beat. The rhodium tech was a joy to use. It is so smooth I had to be careful not to apply pressure or do to many repetitive strokes. The Dolce & Gabbana is an expensive ASB but it burns like hell and is lacking in good skin care. I bought it because I like the cologne so much. The Lucido was a good finish. It has a very weak scent so it did not interfere with the D&G balm. Three passes, and mostly BBS.

    Cheers, Lyndon

Finally, a nice shave this week. The Special had a wicked sharp edge and I finally got it toned down a bit. Have a good one.

    Wednesday:

    Dovo Natural 5/8 round tip
    Omega Boar red handle 49
    Shave Secret oil
TSD shave soap with lanolin English Fern
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue
    Afta Fresh balm
    Jovan Musk Aftershave/Cologne

I'm perplexed how some have been unable to lather this soap! I used a brush that I've only used twice, so it's not near broken in yet but, I was rewarded with an abundance of lather face lathering. I'll definately be getting more of this soap in different flavors in the near future, as the lanolin left my face feeling superb. Final verdict:

Did not want to change anything in my set up for yesterday:
    8/8 W&B restored by Glen
    Vie-Long horsehair brush
    Ceramic bowl
    Williams mug soap/Palmolive shave stick
    Cold water wash
    Fitjar Miklagard ASC
Thought to apply Tet-a-tet ASB, but grabbed a can of Fitjar instead. So, OK, let it be Fitjar! Feel sore, so the shave was half-sleeping. Nice shave, anyway, think I finally figured out the character that nice old chopper has...
