How's Your Day? - March 2013

Lol I need the day off had to fire two guys yesterday and then had to field phone calls from ones wife begging me to give him a 6th or 7th chance.then spent all day today being severely annoyed. Im sipping my fourth or fifth glass of scotch. Tomorrow would be perfect to hit the antique place with shelves and shelves of vintage shaving supplies.

 

Hopefully it will work out. I understand your mistrust of insurance companies, but I don't think broken glass claims have much of an impact on rates. Of course, YMMV. I guess it's your decision if the cost of the replacement is worth the risk of a rate increase. Best of luck to you.

 

I had to deal with my mother essentially telling my fiance's grandmother, who is the one responsible for us getting together as kids, that she's not welcome to the rehearsal dinner, even though mom changed the location again and we are offering to pay for her. If grandmother doesn't get an invite, then her mom is not going, which means Michelle is not going. This is on top of my mother making everything difficult and being so controlling about the 2 things she offered to do.

 

It's crap like this that influenced my wife and I's decision to elope.

 

Boy I'm glad someone can relate to what I'm going through with my wedding plans. Only for me its my mom and dad who absolutely hate each other

 

Well my mom and dad are divorced and no love shared between them either. Mom asked me if I wanted my dad and his wife at the dinner but I would have to pay for them

 

Yea I basically told my parents if they don't like it don't come. And if they don't come don't ever talk to me again. I'm not real close with either of my parents as it is.

 

For some good news for a this board, I'm currently packing and trashing my office. The City isn't getting any of the work I've done for them and I will be doing a full system wipe/restore on my last day.

 

For me. Getting back into my field rather than being stuck playing tech support and doing cell phones, getting a 10% pay increase and better benefits. As for my current place of employment, anything that is deemed irreplaceable or used on a regular basis I already save on the network.

 

I'm sipping scotch at 10 am enjoying my day off.

 

I'll just take 2 cups, please.

Nip this in the bud real quick!!!!!!! take it from a Sicilian...this doesn't get any better in time.It only gets worse. Put a stop to it now, or watch your soon to be wife become a soon to be ex-wife.
