I had made some dinosaur-shaped soaps, for a friends kids. (He had done me a favor, so it was my way of showing my appreciation.) I got the cutest Thank-you notes from his kids!

I went into NYC today to visit one of my godsons and we ended up having a late lunch at Joy Burger Bar (new to me, corner 100th & Lex) and I had a most awesome burger with thai sweet chili sauce on it.

Got a nice TV Special delivered today. I got a dozen Old Spice bottles a couple of days ago and a label maker yesterday. I'm waiting on the perfume funnels to be delivered so I can transfer some of my aftershaves in plastic bottles to the Old Spice bottles. I know it won't be long until I order some essential oils and buy a big bottle of cheap rum at Spec's to start experimenting with making Bay Rum.

Took my seven year old son to the Circus for the first time tonight. Watched him belly laugh at the clowns, stare in awe as an Asian Elephant walked within a few feet of us, and fall asleep about 8 minutes after we left. He spent the entire time before falling asleep recapping the whole show. I asked what his favorite part was, and he said, "everything." Don't get to carry him in from the car asleep very often anymore. It was a good night. Great idea for a thread.

I still have memories of my first circus, and it was about 45 years ago.

My daughter's a senior in high school and on the volleyball team. Last night she had a career high night, with 18 kills, 8 aces, and 3 blocks in a 3 set match. She only played half of the 3rd match because with the game well in hand, the younger girls were put in. She's always been very good, but in the course of the last two weeks, she's really stepped it up a notch.
