Wednesday RV Sambar Antler Flat Top,2 band,d01 Musgo Real "Mr Glo" Tabac SS Ranger Tech/Gillette 7 O'Clock Black (1) Monster Block Alum Thayer's Original WH Vitos Colonia Tabacco mixed with a tiny amount of Skin Gel Well it's more of a Super-Speed than a real Tech, but it has Tech in the name This is still a great razor maybe just a tad more aggressive than a real Tech,at least it seems that way to me.
4th shave on my Tech and the Personna blade still feels great. No sign of it giving out yet. This conditioner pre shave is working. . Same shave as the past couple except I finished it with Clubman today. I think I still prefer the Aqua Velva but it's nice to switch it up. I like the Tech a lot. It's going to be the razor I pull out when I need a guaranteed comfortable shave.
My third shave with the Tech this morning (with Derby Blade). This will be my go-to razor from now on. Almost regret ordering a edwin Jagger 89 last week! The Derbies seem to be working fine on my face. Although I got a little cocky and went XTG and my neck happened to be a little too dry, got a tiny weeper there. I gotta remember to respect the blade despite being so comfortable with this amazing Tech. I have old weepers and cuts still healing so I should be gentle and lay off the XTG moves, but I get tempted to see how far I can go A splash of Captain's Choice Bay Rum completed the picture, feel like a million bucks!
Package in the mail today so.... New (to me) Fat Handle Tech Super Iridium blade Arko stick Semogue 1305 boar brush alum witch hazel splash Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum AS
A '52 Ball End Tech up for today. Not a bad shave. I find the Techs a little milder than I prefer, but there's still the "cool" factor of using a razor 10 years older than I am! It'll stay in the rotation.
Preshave a lavender massageoil Soap Palmolive shavestick Brush synthetic one from 'Rituals' Alum Witchhazel splash Aftershavebalm 'de Tuinen' Fat Handle Tech with Feather blade (3) Since facelather week I'm facelathering, I love the fact that, for me, it's less messy!
I envy those that can say they have a birth year razor that is not a not a plastic multi blade pos. New whipped dog 22mm silver tip brush Old spice original shaving cream from India Gillette fat handle tech Gillette sharp edge blade Witch hazel 1976 vintage aqua velva ice blue, scored a full bicentennial bottle. Great shave, no nicks barely any burn.
Thursday Kent BK8/Ayar's Bowl Proraso PrePost Cream Top Secret SC Gold Tech/Gillette 7 O'Clock Black (5) Monster Block Alum Thayer's Lemon WH Pinaud Clubman Another BBS shave,I'm not crazy about Top Secret's scent but it sure lathers up a storm and the skincare ain't bad either.I'm really enjoying the Tech/Ninja combo, smooth but efficient.
Thick Handle Tech. Don't know if it's legit, or a throw-together. The handle is identical to the Fat Handle Tech, and it has an open comb head. "Thick Handle Tech" was what Country Joe called it back when his site was active. Not a bad shave.
'55 Ball End Tech Super Iridium blade C.O. Bigelow Green Frank Shave finest badger alum witch hazel splash B&BW "Oak" AS
Again with my Gold Tech, love this razor! Finally bought a blade sampler pack as I'm not sure about the Derby, seems like it Irritates more than gives me comfort. No cuts in today's shave, started a new Derby, old wounds he a little irritated can't wait till they heal. I'll keep trying to do less passes until they fully heal. Today a splash of Pinaud's Special Reserve, again I feel like a million bucks!
Ball end today..the engineering officer installed a rubber grip on the handle. The extra traction and thickness was appreciated. Maybe someone's going to get a commendation. Shave long and prosper...
Friday Proraso PrePost Cream Mike's Orange,Cedarwood & Black Pepper (stick) Gold Tech/Gillette 7 O'Clock Black (1) Monster Block Alum Thayer's Medicated Superhazel Lucky Tiger Another smooth shave today,BBS all around
I didn't post my shave yesterday since I had to get out the door but my Fat-handled Tech is really a great razor. I've enjoyed the completely irritation free shaves from it. VDH Deluxe VDH Boar NDC Fat Handle Tech Personna Stainless Store brand (5) - Yep 5 and it could go longer Clubman The conditioner pre-shave is awesome. My whiskers are so soft that the blade just wipes them off and I've never been able to push a DE blade that long before. I banked the blade though because I'm out of town the next few days. Not planning to shave but I did bring the razor just in case I can't stand it
'66 Travel Tech. When I first saw one and didn't know any better, I thought it was a kid's toy. Oh, the things I've learned here at TSD!
