Nope, no decadence for us. Dinner at Applebees. I had the Crab Cake appetizer with the Fiesta Lime Chicken Combo. Gave the dessert to my daughter. I wasn't craving sweet last night. They did however give me some dark chocolates and I had a couple of pieces of that. I know someone is paying attention because they also gave me some liquid bath salts and some Neutrogena razor defense aftershave lotion.
Last night...my daughter made chicken with alfredo sauce and a little extra grated parm over penné pasta with asparagus and garlic bread. Yum.
:rofl Sue you gotta watch this movie a must ! everytime I see the word White Castle I crack up....... :happy102 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366551/
Tonight's fare, chuck roast braised in wine, beef stock, the trinity, garlic, fresh rosemary, cinnamon, cloves and a bay leaf or two. Cooked forever so the meat's tender. When the meat's done, set aside and then strain the solids out of the remaining liquid and boil the sauce til thickened. Pour over the beef to serve. Great way to make a tasty meal out of a crappy cut of meat. Every so often, I buy junk meat just to put it thru these paces. Sorta like good ole southern Q...except it takes a couple of hours instead of 12!! :drool Haven't decided on sides yet - still have an hour and a half before I have to figure that out. Will probably get lazy and just nuke a "baked" potato. :eatdrink020
Okay... let's throw out something other than food/drink. Yesterday Whitney and I went to see Boston Ballet's Midsummer Night's Dream at the Wang Center, followed by dinner, then in the evening she gave me a facial. Great afternoon out in Boston and an incredibly relaxing facial before bed... so nice
