1. So I like super-max platinum blades. I want to order some. 3 hours later I have all but given up. Platinum, super platinum (which is different), platinum plus... Then there's different packaging on each. All I know is the one I tried said vidyut super-max platinum. Omg. I found an eBayer doing 240 of them for 18 bucks but I am not sure I want that many. And I don't want rust etc. Are they making these still or what, I don't want to get attached to them if not. Astra SP are cheaper and I know they are still being made.

  2. SuperMax is one of the larger brands of blades made by Vidyut. They are made in India and are distributed world wide. There is little chance of them suddenly stopping production, but because of their multiple markets there is some variation in packaging. Believe it or not Vidyut's SuperMax brand has less variation than some of the other manufacturers (who knows how many different brands and packaging variations there are for Lord blades).

Here are some sites where they can be purchased:

  3. Thank you, I just am confused about the blades themselves, people say they are slightly different, I just know I liked the regular platinum.
  4. I love SuperMax in general. I never saw much difference between the platinums and super platinums. My absolute favorite blade is the SuperMax Titanium, but I am a fan of the platinums as well.

If you store the blades away from the bathroom and put a desiccant pack in whatever you choose to store them in, then rust will not be an issue. If you like the SuoerMax Platinums, then don't worry about all of the other package variations, just get the ones you used and enjoy.
  5. Are titanium's worth the extra asking price compared to platinums and Astra?
  6. I certainly think so, they are the best blades that I have ever used. Even so, there is nothing wrong with the platinums. The Astras are nice too, but they have a little more bite to them.

PM me your address and I'll send you some titaniums to try if you like.

  7. I think I'm going to get a 5 pack of each to try out. Thanks man :)
  8. Oh that's nice of you, thanks. Pm sent. Have you ever tried the sunrise ones?
  9. I think you'll be happy with which ever one you ultimately choose, SuperMax makes great blades.

  11. At one time the Super-Max Super Platinum were more abundant. They are available. An Amazon seller, Adrian 96, has 100 Super-Max Super Platinum blades for $8+$4.49 shipping. I just received my order. I have not tried the Sunrise. I like the Super-Max Super Platinums very much, better than their other versions. I use Astra SP and like them also. For me the Super-Max Super Platinums are smoother than Astra SP but it is pretty close. YMMV.

  12. Yeah I had seen those as well. I'll probably get them just because they are so cheap and just gift then if I don't like em...
  13. I think if you liked the Platinum blades you will like the Super Platinum. For me the Super Platinums were clearly sharper and smoother.

  14. I have only tried the Super Platinums and they were outstanding.
  15. the super platinums are my favorite blade as well.
  16. Wow! didn't see that. Sorry!
  17. I saw the same thing last week and was really excited until I saw the shipping price...they like to sneak that part in.
  18. I've tried the Platinum and Super Platinum and I think there's definitely a difference. It seems most folks prefer the Super Plats, but I prefer the plain Platinum's. I'm on the fence about buying the 240 blade package from Ebay. That's a killer deal. It comes to under $8 per 100, shipped.

I don't think rust will be an issue, particularly if you don't store them in the bathroom. You could use a dessicant if you think you need to, but they're only good long term if you recharge them by heating the moisture out from time to time.
