1. I took some measurements today...DB's are way bigger than i'd like, especially on my shelf under the mirror i'd plan to keep it on. I want something no larger than 4" at it's widest diameter.
  2. Well look what this thread made me go and do. My brothers birthday is March 30th and he mentioned a scuttle a while back, so I found one on ebay that someone was selling and got it for a good price. I'm going to give him this scuttle and a schick injector I restored and some blades to go with it.

  3. I might be responsible for some confusion. I have a Georgetown Pottery Scuttle not a DB.
  4. My Robert Becker arrives tomorrow I can hardly wait!
  5. @Lothar101: Pictures please... :)

My Robert Becker scuttle is in the making... So I would like to see yours... :)

  7. Can't say enough Great things about Robert Becker and his work.Sorry pics are so big but they still don't really do justice to the scuttle. This is the number 9 brush soaker model. The lather this thing delivers is wonderful!:happy093:
  8. Woohoo.. Nice!!! Really nice!!! :) I like the colours of your scuttle.

Seems to be really big. Robert wrote me that he shipped my scuttle on 11.3.

I'm soooo excited... Thanks for the pictures. :)
  9. Its about 10x6
  10. Hmmm, i have to look for my dimensions... Mine will be a smaller one. It's in Cobalt Blue and white. :)
  11. Mine is bigger than I thought it would be. Love it so far. Blue and white was gonna be my choice as well, but SWMBO overuled that idea.
  12. When i have a look at the size of your scuttle, then i would like to know the weight of it... Seems to be really heavy... :)
  13. Bought a Georgetown Pottery scuttle for use in the Master Bath and a gravy/sauce warmer from World Market for travel. The Georgetown Pottery skuttle was made to order and pricey, but I'm worth it. DINK. Bought the gravy/sauce warmer on the cheap with a discount and bought one for a fellow SRS at work as a friendly gift. We share shaving tips and cigars. He's my "work husband". I'd recommend the skuttle which keeps lather warm through four pass shaves nicely. Easy to clean and handsome on the counter.

  14. I agree, the Georgetown is well worth the wait and the price tag. After looking at all the scuttles out there I'll saw it as the only option. IMO its the bees knees.
  15. I usually leave it setting on the sink its heavy enough where doesn't move.Never thought of holding it, have to give it a shot :)
  16. Hi Friends,

  18. Thank you.All i can say is:WOW!!!:)

I used an old coffee mug or an cereal bowl, but now i know what i missed...I will NEVER do lather with any other bowls or mugs...This is sooooo much better.Near at perfection!!!:happy093:
