Can I join in, in wishing all our "mick" friends (I'm half "mick" on my mothers side, hence my password on here.) a good one. Geordie Sam.
Happy St's Day: May there always be work for your hands to do May your purse always hold a coin or two; May the sun always shine on your windowpane; May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain; May the hand of a friend always be near you; May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.... and may you have a Great Shave today!
Oh no, just speaking in general. But glad you weren't miffed. The truth in your friend's remark made me ponder how many sterotypes were squashed into the graph comic I posted. I mean, potatoes & snakes?! Poor St. Patrick. Speaking of St. Paddy's offenses, my boss wished us the "the luck o' the Irish," which did offend a co-worker who made him "take it back" gradeschool-style. As the Irish were famously unlucky throughout history, the "luck of the Irish" was coined in irony. A most enlightening lunch hour it was.
