Just found this razor for 30 bucks with case!

 

Looks like a gold Gillette fat handled aristocrat?

 

I would buy it. Is there much plateloss?

I'm not sure yet on the plate loss I need to look at it again tomorrow. I'm going to get it as long as it all checks out

 

Some plateloss is to be expected the thing was made in the 1940s.

Looks good..if there's a bit of plate loss it's no big deal. Just make sure the guard bars aren't bent..they look straight from here...

Found this info... Looks like it's a 1946-47 Aristocrat, if the box is original, since it's a burgundy rectangular, and also the two smooth bands on the handle. It is missing the blade bank though.

You know your Rad is out of control when it takes y0u 30 minutes to shave. 15 minutes of the 30 was just trying to decide which razor to use.

 

I would totally buy it (I may not be the voice of reason however) if there's some plate loss, it's not the end of the world. I have an adjustable Aristocrat with about 50% plate loss on the doors and it shaves like a dream.

 

I'd say no. If they'll do 30$; they'll do 25$!

 

Lol I always haggle.
