Au contraire mon cheri,I strongly suspect the purpose of the aforementioned feigned ignorance is to assure that her Lady Eversharp will magically appear cleaned, polished and armed with a sparkling shinny new blade at appropriate designated intravals
Looks like we're getting a roughty bunch at the party this weekend.....If you don't watch out...I'll get Tom to bring...He has an ER14 that when you spring the top open a certain way will throw the blade...He could win that ejecting blade contest without trying....ha,ha,ha....What do you think HR
When I first started using injectors in 1971, yeah, I could probably throw one clear across the room. But now, that's just a memory...
I'd be happy to man,but I fear the veritable cornucopia of razor porn scattered about the site would surely offend her delicate sensibilities Speaking of razor porn... My main squeeze, the lovely and talented Silver & Black I2 Hydro-Magic: A recent aquisition, pic is from straight out of the foil and baking soda spa... Armed it with a new Personna PTFE blade, got a nice shave, found it to be pretty darn efficient. Shick B1
You just might be right!! And.....I noticed you didn't stop for a second before contributing to said Porn.... And I'm glad you did...BTW...You haven't been contributing to the delinquency of a razor have you...? No...I'm sure these beauties, even though they look so young...are of legal age to be posing like this.... BTW....that Hydro-magic looks like it rolled out of the factory last week.... And I've made no secret around here of my love and respect for the Schick Repeators....The Col. was so far ahead of his time, no one has caught up yet...That should have been Buck Rogers razor....
I've always loved the G-8's....very distinctive and classy looking....not to mention a whisker's worse nightmare....
May I present a new lady? [Schick Type K1 Injector] Lady Eversharp Beauty Razor Eversharp Inc., 1962-1968 Patent: 2911713 Hydro-Magic Lever, White ribbed handle. Gold head & ferrule w/ notable plating loss. & Personna 74* 7-blade cartridge (stock img) [Intrahouse PIF ] To my Lady ~ I'll see you each morning, and in silence I'll say "Pretty Lady, I love you, and you give a great shave..." La la la la laaaa! edit: corrected the Lady's specs
Oh Wow!...Congratulations......hey bartender.....a long cool shot of methol for everybody..... Man she's sooo beautiful.....and you!!! you got 74's!!! You have to be careful carrying an injector full of 74s around....you need an armed escort....These blades are precious cargo... Can't wait for your first shave review with this set-up....BTW.....these are 74's....don't be playing 'the rifleman' with these guys You might be surprised, they're legendary for the number of great shaves you can get with one....If you need to play 'The Rifleman' use your husband's blades , these 74's are like Jewels...
Fear not! Full disclosure: I had to put up a stock image of the 74*'s b/c he let me unwrap my gift & oooh n' ah...Then confiscated it till I can "fully appreciate the Tungsten steel". So romantic . Tough Love Injector-Style--He did give me a FULL Chinese Schick cartridge on faith. ...Doesn't he sound like my dealer? Well, I have strong incentive to commit to Razor Rifleman rehab. As a reformed RR, you sir, are living proof that I CAN recover. As HoosierTrooper instructed, I will ponder bills during blade changes. I SHALL prove myself worthy of the 74*! [cue Rocky music] Thank you for the encouragement & kind words on my Lady! I can't wait to take her dancing & will report back at this PARTAY
Either way should work:1 prove yourself worthy...or 2. Enter his shave cave "Rifleman Style" til those 74's find their way back to your stash.... although #1 is definately the True TSD way....#2 was a bad idea....I take it back!!
Who said anything about 'recovered'.... ...I'm a Jazz musician....I don't think about my bills....and when I think of baseball it makes me remember all the great shaving commercials from when I was a kid (aka Mickey Mantle)....that makes me want to shave...its a viscious circle... pass the menthol please... BTW....you should bring your man to this party....anyone with those Personna 74's is always invited....
Very fortunate to land that silver Hydro-Magic.It was one of my first injectors and got me hooked and remains my favorite,I had no idea most were gold plated. It came with a case,I purchased it from the original owner. A true story about today's shave: For the first time in the past 6 weeks I decided to shave with an SE.I was going to grab my Streamline but at the last second decided to use my Ever-Ready 1914,it has incredibly loud feedback and you can almost feel the thing resonate as it cuts whiskers.A really great shave with a new GEM PTFE SS Blade and as I was starting to put it away I noticed the March 24th Patent and realized I had inadvertently pulled it out to use on it's 99th aniversary Here's Mrs Razorx's,I can't begin to imagine the stories these grand dames of lady shaving could tell if they ever got together....
How auspicious! Happy Birthday, Mr. Ever-Ready! Who could have guessed in his youth that he'd be so fit & charming at this age? He may be the Hugh Hefner of SE razors. Mrs. Razorx's Pink Lady is gorgeous-- sleek & powerful, but with a playful side. Coming from those "little pink plastic girly razors," she went from to
Beautiful Spread....and your birthday razor.......well...I've never seen a prettier work of functional art....and that Lady Eversharp looks like a Ferrari... That ER 1914 is certainly a contender for 'Prettiest Razor Ever'....I would need to audition her with a 'Casting Shave'....But she certainly is a contender.... Free Menthol for everybody....And thanks for pointing out, this important date for shaving history.... HAPPY 99TH TO THE EVER READY 1914 RAZOR.......and congratulations to all lucky enough to love them.... We really need to think of something special for next years 100th....
I'm going to need a license to wield those! As part of my blade appreciation course, Señor ohpaos showed me the ad for PAL Premium Edge SS blades. I appreciated the scientific explanation of its design ("liquid beads")!
When these guys first came out, I thought they were just a gimmick, playing on the Space Program theme....Not at that time, the men in my family all only used Schick Blades and considered it a drag if the store was out and we had to get Personna.... Well one morning I swing by my Pop's for breakfast and he said a couple nights ago he was out of blades and all they had at the 7/11 were the Personna 74's....well to make a long story short...He said he was amazed at how much Personna had improved....So I went right out and copped some...little did we know we were at the Vangard of this legendary blade, and history in the making....lol
