    Friday morning. Good Friday day.

    Axe Chilled face wash
    Barbasol (Aloe)
    Van Der Hagen Boar Brush
    Gillette Goal Stainless (2)
    Edwin Jagger DE89 (first use)
    Witch Hazel
    Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve

    A TGIF Friday BBS!

I decided to use my new Edwin Jagger razor for the first time today (I waited a month). Wow, what a first class shave! Just slightly more aggressive than my vintage Gillette Ball-End Tech but still forgiving and easy to use. My second day with the Gillette Goal Stainless was another smooth and sharp shave. It was a smooth three passes (only two passes on lip) and touch-up using Blade Buffing technique, which was successful except for two minor weepers on the neck (wasn’t fully hydrated in that area). The bleeding stopped quickly with cold water. My face feels cool and refreshed after the shave, exfoliated in a gentle manner. I am happy to have a slightly more aggressive razor that can get me to BBS more effortlessly.

I once again tried Barbasol and confirmed that yesterday’s success wasn’t a fluke. I just added a little more water with a damp boar brush, and stirred the cream in my stainless steel mug. I applied to my face like I would my own lather. I will bring Barbasol on my trip this weekend, and go back to my Van Der Hagen soap on Monday.

    Aces!

Sorry no pic today, dead batteries in the camera. Nice shave this morning. The Harris Eucalyptus is a nice menthol cream, good protection and skin care. Have a good one.

Damn, the Dickinson's stuff stinks. I'll have to get used to it, I guess.

Prep: Hot shower, Axe Cooling Face Wash, Billy Jealousy scrub.
    Brush: TGN Grade A.
    Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech.
    Blade: Personna Med Prep.
    Cream: Barbon.
Post: Cold water rinse, alum block on my chin to seal up a nick, cold water rinse, Barbon AS, Axe Cooling AS gel.

Today's shave was good except for the one tiny nick I got on my chin on my second pass. I was going to use the Proraso Green, but Hungary beat Italy. Next time I will be using Proraso Green.

    '51 SS
    Wilkinson Sword
    Cold Rinse

    Nivia PS Balm
Osage Rub (I'm getting addicted to this stuff)

Another insane shave with the SS, so far I get my best shaves with this razor. I love using my SE's more, but can't beat this little SS.

Oh and I'm craving the Osage Rub. Medicine smelling mouthwash lookin, face burnin/freezin elixir.

I don't think even a professional barber could have given me a better shave than this. I'm almost as smooth as my wife and daughter. The Super Speed I have is from the 1950s, and it gives me the best shaves of any DE I ever had. The Gada Cool Mint cream always delivers the great lemony/minty scent with awesome lather, and that menthol effect is actually stronger than Proraso Green's. The Axe Chilled gel/Mr. Rubby Dubby Doo combination is heavenly! ;) :D

    Axe Chilled face wash
    Shave Secret oil
    Barbasol Chill
    Edwin Jagger DE89
    Astra SP
    Witch Hazel
    Family Dollar Spice

    For a DFS+!

Traveling at the moment, can't write much but to say the Barbasol, Astra and Jagger gave me a heavenly shave!

I think I'm going to decide on the Astra SP as the blade I'll buy in bulk.

Astra SP's give you a lot of bang for the buck. I like them too and used one today as a matter of fact. Check Amazon. You can usually find them for about $9/100 with free shipping. I had to buy 300 to get the free shipping but it's a good deal.

I'm really getting to like my Weber Bulldog. The blade gap isn't really that huge on it but it definitely has some aggression. I guess it's the blade exposure and maybe the weight. I'm getting nice, close and comfortable shaves with it.

    Soap: VDH Deluxe
    Brush: VDH white-handled boar
    Razor: Weber Bulldog
    Blade: Astra SP (2)
    AS: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

    Edit:
So I may have to do an actual review of this after some trial time with it. My initial impression off the bat (Having used several rotary shavers as well as older Brauns from the mid 90s to mid 2005-ish), is that someone in Germany has taken the electric razor and completely revamped it. This is how they should have shaved from day one, and I'm pleasantly surprised and quite impressed. My face and head are both DFS+ and there is no old school electric bumps, irritation or anything, it was just a smooth, tug free shave.
