youngunn Where's my TSD aftershave balm???

    SOTD Saturday 3/30:

Nothing special today, needed a quickie shave before work.

    Hot water splash
    Cremo SC
    '46/7 'Crat w/Gillette Russian blue
    2 passes
    Thayer's rose WH
    PdP ASB
    Chanel Allure Homme EDT

Cremo works pretty good for a brushless shave cream if you've never tried it. Splash hot water and put it on thick and rub a little more water in, make a pass, then just splash more water and it slicks right back up. Made another pass plus some buffing on chin. Not bad for a free cream after rebate. The Russian blue blades are really great once again, I keep finding blades I love :D

Had two days of growth which for me, is a rare thing. The Cadet OC was a great choice and it had no trouble mowing down my obstinate whiskers. The Baxter ASB was very soothing. The Barbon ran out on this shave but I won't be buying any more until I finish off a few more of the dozen or so bottles currently on my shelf! :)

    Cheers, Lyndon

Very nice shave today. I really enjoy using the big Frank silvertip brush, it's great! Both the Nivea ASB and the Figaro ASL have lots of added menthol. So... saying my face is now cold would be the understatement of the day. :)

I just realized something - no menthol today! Anyway, this De Vergulde Hand soap is, has been, and always will be one of my top favorite soaps. The scent drives me crazy and the lather is so easy to work with. It's matching balsam moisturizes and soothes and protects the skin beautifully, and the aftershave is awesome - it smells like a lighter version of Drakkar Noir. I think between my shower, pre-shave prep, and the actual shave I was in the bathroom for an hour, perhaps longer. It was well worth it! ;) :D

    Happy Easter, folks! :)

Thanks my dear friend. The Ice Rain's cooling effect is very enjoyable. Not only that, the soothing and the moisturizing are so good. I cannot thank you enough for sending me this wonderful cream!

    TOBS Sandalwood cream
    Face Lather

The Simpson Special is a great brush for face lathering, it's a small knot but I had plenty of lather for a 3-pass shave. It was my first shave with the featherweight, it was a bit harsher than the injector I used yesterday, but I find everything harsher than an injector. A couple of weepers and some irritation on the neck, but a good, close shave.

An awesome shave this beautiful Easter morning. There is a light sprinkle of rain that only makes the pleasantly cool but bright morning's landscape even more luxuriously green. The flowering trees are in bloom with their beautiful pastel spring colors and the red-wing blackbirds are filling the air with melodic songs. The Applegate Valley of Southwestern Oregon is one of the most beautiful places in the world! We are having friends over for a delicious Easter Dinner my Lady is preparing. A few glasses of the fruit of the vine from the famous Valley View Vineyard next door and some great conversation with our friends will complete this peaceful and relaxing day. I wish everyone a very Happy Easter and another week of outstanding shaves!

Todays shave was alright, the blade was a bit too dull from its first shave when it cut down several days of growth. Other than some minor irritation, it was a great shave. The MdC is one of ny favorites and I love the smell. That combined with my best brush and razor led to a superior DFS!

    Happy Easter Everyone!

Another great shave with the Weber Bulldog w/ polished head. After I was done, I banked the Astra SP and covered the razor with mineral oil. The blade might have had another shave in it but I'm preparing for SE week tomorrow. I'm sort of reluctant to put the Weber away for a week. It's been doing such a nice job this week. I know my Hydro-magic will do the same though.
