I like the looks of this copper one from Bestshave.net, but have only seen the photo. I would like to hear the opinion of someone who actually uses one of these.
I don't think barbers used it for shaving. They use to be the town surgeons as well. I think that was used as a blood catcher.

I wonder how fragile they might be? They're on several vendor sites, often listed as "palm bowls". The only comments I've seen are on Amazon --> Reviews

Some shavers use gravy warmers as brush scuttles etc --- World Market Warming Pitcher Vintage Ceramic Gravy/Sauce Warmer
Steve also makes scuttles. I've thought abut giving one a try a few times but haven't pulled the trigger. Anyone given one a try and have a opinion to share?
