Clockwise or Counterclockwise.....Lather your way.

Hey guys!

I know this seems like a stupid thread, but seriously I'm interested.....Do you lather in your bowl clockwise counterclockwise or both? Lefty or Righty?

Let's play a little game and find out! I'd love to know. lol

 

I'm a lefty, if I swirl its counter clockwise but I usually go side to side more than swirl. It brings the lather out of the brush and the results are faster for me. That's in a bowl for face lathering I go clockwise on my face.

 

I like to hear about other people's techniques. There is no right or wrong way from what I've heard and seen.

 

Clockwise, then side to side, clockwise, then a few turns counterclockwise repeat until lather is poofy.

 

You might need an "other" option, Joey. Some people believe using more of a side to side "paintbrush" motion is better for certain brushes. I do a little of everything, depending on mood. Sometimes, a figure 8 or even the alphabet

 

This is true, I paint it on with the brush I bought. I just bought a tweezerman badger brush. any opinions?

 

I go both ways. I usually start counter-clockwise and then go clockwise, then revearse until I get the lather I'm looking for....

 

Figure 8 lather bowl. Hmmm???

Mainly clockwise but before I'm done I've gone clockwise, counterclockwise, side to side, figure eight, etc.

I face lather. I start with a circular motions on my face and then use a painting motion against the grain. It seems to work for me.

 

There is no "right" way or "wrong" way. There's the "what works best for you" way.
