With the help of fellow list member (Brother Hanzo) . We managed to find this Barber's Cabinet.The Cabinet cleaned and polished now resides in my bathroom.
You must like D.R. Harris. Sweet cabinet man. Has such a good look to it. Nice den on the inside too, quite the collection of brushes.
Received my shave cream samples today 10 TOBS samples and 3 taconic, and Maggard Razors threw in a sample of their Sweet Orange preshave oil. TOBS - I already have the lavender and sandalwood, but the other 8 are Mr. Taylor, Avacodo, Jermyn Street, sensitive skin, St. James, Lemon & Lime, Eton College and Almond Taconic - Eucalyptus Mint, Tequila Lime, Bay Rum I'll probably get 2 shaves from each sample, hopefully enough to determine the one's I really like.
I had to pop open a few to sniff. The Taconic Bay rum actually smelled a lot like carrot cake, or spice cake to me. It will be interesting to lather it up and check the scent.

Just got in more goodness fromTurkey. I had forgotten I ordered it. The Derby stick looks and smells exactly like Arko. It makes me wonder if Derby is rebranded Arko. I don't know anything about Kapo cream, I just took a flyer on that one.
I can only assume my photos are showing up upside down. They look fine on here, not sure what the problem is. Edit: fixed I think, I guess I can't post photos from my ipad.
I forgot to mention this earlier, but I got a sample of Tabac soap from srpavko. It smells way better than the cream. Thanks Scott!
Your welcome brother! Mailman brought me a box of stuff! Small lot of gear, wanted it for the old NOS blades (for display) and the flare tip SS, but it also came with a Schick Twin With a few old blades in the original albeit grungy box with key and injector. An Ever Ready 1924 that is in a bit of rough shape, but shaveable. The cap is pretty scratched and dinged up but I don't have one so it goes in the rotation. The SS is in really nice shape except for a little pitting around the neck. Also bowed to popular opinion and bought some Axe Chilled and Nivia Face wash with Menthol! Menthol Monday should be a bit more chilling now!
How do you like that Suavecito pomade? I have some, good stuff. They were (maybe still) having a special on their site: buy the pomade and the SC get a the Bay Rum AS for free. I'm a sucker for a good deal so I picked up all three. Their shave cream is a brushless latherless SC but actually works great. Really slick, great for that super quick shave. It blew Creamo out of the water IMO. The Bay Rum isn't bad either, has a bit of bite to it but I think bay rums usually do.
I am SO gonna get killed when the SO finds out I've been at it again! I placed an "I don't give a darn" bottom line bid on Ebay yesterday and went about my business. Very surprised to wake up this morning and find an email asking for payment. It'll require some cleaning, but I will soon take possession of a 1962 Gillette Slim Adjustable, some NOS Gillette blades and a NOS brush. The brush looks like it could be badger but the seller doesn't know. Probably more than I should have spent ($26 incl shipping) but I figure I will have a good enough variety where I won't make any more razor buys for quite a few months (soaps, creams, AS for awhile). I'm hoping this razor is as good as I hear it is. I will have to promise not to buy another thing for at least 30 days. I can do it. Yep...
