    Tuesday morning.

    Axe Chilled facial wash/V05 conditioner
    Shave Secret
    Barbasol Arctic Chiller
    Van Der Hagen Boar Brush
    Astra Superior Platinum (2)
    Edwin Jagger DE89L razor
    Witch Hazel
    Gillette Cool Wave afterwave
    Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave balm

    For another happy BBS!

The lather started out thin, my Barbasol can was near empty, and the thin lather made the shave not as smooth. So I switched to a new can and that was much better! A traditional three pass, I switched it up a little. I usually go N to S, S to N, and W to E. Today I went E to W, S to N, and W to E. Wasn’t bad. However, I touched-up longer than I should’ve, but no burn or irritation after, and a smooth BBS to enjoy. I’m still amazed how close these DE shaves are.

    Aces!

Man these old Gillette OC's I picked up are blowing my mind. First the Sheraton last night, now to night the New LC. BOth very different feeling, th4 Sheraton was more aggressive the New LC more refined. But but gave me a very very comfortable close shave. The TSD Wheat was excellent as always.

Well, some of us in the UK are having an "All English" in honour of St George's Day on 23rd April. So, in preparation, today I had the following shave:
Warm shower with Real Shaving Co Face Scrub followed by chamomile soap.
    Home made pre-shave oil
Palmolive soap whipped up with a New Forest 2204 brush
Pass 1: Old type Gillette open comb (made in England) with a Derby blade
Pass 2: Edwin Jagger DE89L with Polsilver SI blade
Pass 3: Gillette aluminium handled Tech (made in England) with a Lord SC blade
    Truefitt & Hill 1805 ASB
    Lovely, BBS shave.
The main problem for a 'English' shave is the blade choice. However, St George was actually from Turkey so a Turkish made Derby is acceptable. Not my favourite blade though.
The above exercise was for me to try out the two Gillette razors as I hadn't used them before.

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

    Wednesday
    Pre: Hot shower
    Cream: Trumpers Rose sample
    Brush: TGN 22mm Nylon reknot
    Razor: G8 injector
Blade: Schick (3) and 3 passes
    Post: Cold Water Rinse
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman
Cologne: Pour un Homme de Caron

The Trumpers Rose smelled nice, but couldn't get a good lather. I think it's because the small sample is a hard cream and it's difficult to load on the brush. I put a wad in the brush and bowl lathered and ended up with an airy lather with a nugget of cream still in the brush that fell out when lathering my face. I'm sure I would have much better results with a tub of cream.

It felt like -25 while I was shaving thanks to this Palmolive Cool cream, and the Diana Sport balsam and the Rubby Dubby Doo made the end of the shave frigidly glorious. I get a lot of compliments when I wear the Azzaro Pour Homme - it was always a favorite of mine. ;) :D
