When a certain package arrives in the post, you may well find that you have another shaving cream to try. ;)

Not that I'm trying to give the game away or anything. :ashamed001:

Two passes with touch up is all I do, Leo. Sorry Arko is giving you some grief, it's one of my personal favorites. C O Bigelow is made by Proraso and a favorite shave cream as well.

Thanks WK, I really appreciate it, I think I'll try Arko again with a different brush.

Prep: hot shower, Axe Cooling Face Wash, Billy Jealousy Sucker Punch Face Scrub.
    Brush: Vulfix Burlington.
    Razor: Schick Krona.
    Blade: Personna Lab.
    Soap: Mike's Natural Barbershop stick.
Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's WH Lavender, Barbon AS, Axe Cooling AS gel.

I used Proraso Green last Monday and my neck is still torn up from it. That cream is not for me. I have ingrowns and bumps on my neck. It sucks. I hope that this Mike's does the trick and that my face heals up. Whenever something doesn't agree with my face, it really lets me know. It's kind of discouraging, but it's just a shave I'll get over it. The Krona is a good razor, I really should use it more often. The Vulfix Burlington isn't a bad brush either. I should just stick to my TGN Grade A for face lathering though. I get better results when face lathering with that brush.

Yesterday's Menthol Monday Shave felt warm in comparison to this one - this Awakenings soap from Mama Bear is almost as cold as Iced Subzero. It also smells very nice, and gives great lather. The Visal gel/Rubby Dubby Doo combination could be too much for anyone who cannot tolerate intense menthol. I'm so BBS now that it's unreal! ;) :D

Great shave with the Progress loaded with a Crystal this morning. Makes me want to do something special instead of mowing the lower pasture. lol
The Progress's aggressiveness is right in the ball-park for my shaving needs. Although it's not considered a classic or vintage type of razor because it's still available, it's roots go way back to the Apollo which is really the early or vintage version of the Progress. I have tried to score an Apollo a few times but, the prices those are going for are astronomical! Too rich for my poor retirement income!

Today was a great shave. Williams and Aqua Velva is easily a top three favorite combo. Yesterday I found this beauty at an antique store and it only set me back $7. Its in great shape and the risers work great. Had an up and down two pass on 5, and its just perfect. Not overkill, but still a great close shave. Great success! 001.JPG
