Yeah, I don't know I just couldn't pass those things up. I have a puck of MWF that needed the container. Also, I needed a back up Aluminum Tech to take with me and not worry about losing my primary Aluminum Tech.
Very sound reasoning. You needed these things, it was not a case Ad, it was of necessity, same reason I bought 3 more SS's.
A fun old pewter brush (~7cm / 2.75inch handle). Reminds me of an old bowling pin. She should look great with some TLC & perhaps a new black badger 'do...
Well, the first of my two new razors is in, along with one of the stands I ordered. VERY pleased is an understatement. First shave with it tonight:
One bottle of the classic Williams Ice Blue After Shave and a bottle of Sanex Men Dermo Sensitive After Shave balm. Also my first vintage razor - a near mint Super Speed Flare Tip from 1964. Sold to me by a fellow member here, all the way from USA to Europe. Edit 21th. April: Just hauled in a wooden bambus bowl for lathering. When will this madness stop?!?
Once again...its not shaving related. I discovered that my favorite grocer, The Italian Centre (I go there for the fresh meats and cheese...and cheap proraso products) now carries my favorite chocolate!!! I present to you the Mozart Chocolate. The box contains chocolates about 1x1 (inch) in size and the bar is just a bar form of them. What they are: - outside layer if chocolate - inside is a hazel buy centre coated in marzipan on the top and a ground pistachio bottom They are to die for. Until now I had to wait to see if my father-in-law would bring them back from Germany.
ETAops, no text. I got an R89 Grande for my anniversary from Connaught. Great value from them and they threw in a pack of Gillette Silver Blues to boot. I wasn't expecting the blades so this was a nice surprise. I have been meaning t try the Silver Blues. Man, this thing is quite a bit more substantial than I was expecting. The chrome is utterly perfect. This is the first new razor I have acquired. It's only the second razor I have that was born after me. I can't wait to shave tomorrow.
SWMBO picked this one, she loves the scent.. I agree with her. Love having a brick and mortar in the area.
I got some of that for my dad. Of course I smelled it about 3,000 times before it actually got to his house. Great stuff.
Not just a TOBS store, they also sell Trumpers, MWF, EJ, Crabtree & Evelyn, Kent, and some various razors and blades...
Well my MWF bowl and my Aluminum Tech arrived today. Also to my surprise, the guy threw in a bunch of Personna Med Preps, some Feathers, and some Gillette 7 o' Clock Yellows. I bought it off the BST at the site we shall not mention.
Last weekends haul, Spent a couple day in a town about a 5hr drive from me. Looking in antique store and touring museums this is what I found. The Super is my birth year and my reverse birth year. '77 A couple Ladies and Schickes ER Lather Cather with Stropper Attachment. (Thank you Trooper) ER 1912 Grand Shave King Bakelite tipped SS SS looking razor with the smooth spot at the bottom handle. I don't know what it is. It is a Gillette but I don't think it is a SS. And some TG&Y blades(I don't remember this store) My travel brush jumped in the picture Ive had it for awhile.
