  1. Hi gents !

I joined today after Nick - facialcarnage here - suggested .
I'm a very long time Gillette collector, I also collect vintage brushes, rare single edge razors, injectors , and of course straights .
My father started collecting himself in 1962, and I started myself in early 1974

My most preferred shaving tools where made in UK a long time ago, a Darwin and an Eclipse DEs, I also use randomly one of my vintage German slants ...I'm using them Monday - Friday,

On Saturdays when I shave I also choose among the Gillettes I own ....over 150 ....
One of my Sundays favorites is my grand father Manufrance Etoile 7/8 straight but I also use a couple of Thiers Issard Straights .

Most of the times my other shaving tools are either in a display or on a desk, I take great care of these vintage treasures and I am passing this hobby to Alex my Son and Camille Daughter, both of them are interested in , not only because the razors or brushes are nice to look at ....

I forget to mention that I also collect barbershop blades full displays wherever they come from....

Should you need any help to find a vintage French or European shaving good, feel comfortable to message me, any time .
I use to buy sell or trade with Friends worldwide and I will always be pleased to help, share and discuss.

Wishing you all a pleasant day, and may God bless you all,

    Loïc

Welcome to TSD! As I understand it, Monsavon is very cheap in France. I really like the scent, it is a nice soft soap.

  4. Yes , it is definitely the cheapest of the soaps , available almost everywhere for a very affordable price and the recipe never changed since the origins .
Italy is just 25 miles from here and I prefer the Proraso sandalwood scent (with the Italian price )... Therefore most of the times I'm using one of these luxury English creams ....

Hello Loic, welcome to TSD! Your name sounded very familiar to me and now I remember: I purchased a Sheraton set from you through eBay France last year! I have also seen your collection and it is very impressive!

  19. Well, The only Sheraton I remember was sent to Singapore right ? Hope you are using it , and welcome on TSD too, I joined myself a few days ago after a nice guy (Nick alias facial carnage here) suggested ....
