Beautiful spring weather is finally here and we're getting ready for a nice hot summer. This is what I'll be using for:

    Menthol Monday:

    #6 Horsehair
    Super Speed/new Rapira
Ginger's Garden Ice Mint SS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
Diana Sport Menthol Balsam :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Barbon AS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    YSL Pour Homme EDT

The first time I ever used this Ice Mint soap I was shocked at its menthol power - it could compete with Palmolive Menthol or Godrej Menthol Mist. The scent is awesome and the lather is a pleasure to work with, and it also gives great skincare. The Diana balsam and the Barbon aftershave are both delightful potent face-freezers. :) :D

Nice shave this morning. The TOBS Coconut is a sample and pretty good stuff but I'm fairly indifferent to the scent. Good cream, o.k. scent. Have a good one.

Prep: Hot shower, Steve's Own pre-shave oil, hand strop blade
    Coffee: Master Chef, BLACK
    Soap: Tabac
    Brush: Omega 11574

So I had to test drive my wife's new Pink Lady. What a fantastic razor! I shave every day, and I've used lots of different razors to do it - this one is Top Shelf. Darn near BBS. May have to get a blue one for myself!

But I'm a man. I can change. If I have to. I guess. --- who said it?

Jack Palance and I love skin bracer. And I love derby blades. New ones I soak in hot water for a minute or two to get that dreadful sticky coating off. Once it is off, nothing better IMHO. Have an awesome week guys.

I've found loading with the soap upside down and a slightly wet brush works well. I overload like crazy and face lather. It never disappoints when I do that.

Pre: hot shower, Lush Rehab shampoo/Dirty shower gel
    Brush: Case, Best
    Soap: Lush Karma
Razor: '71 Black Beauty (2 passes on 1)
    Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock (1)
    Post: Lush Cosmetic Lad

Today was Lush day in my little corner of the world that other, more sane people call the upstairs bathroom. I commandeered a chunk of SWWBO's Karma soap from downstairs, and gathered together the other Lush products close at hand that I could use. Their stuff is pretty good, really nice, unusual scents, abundant lather and very "clean" feeling in the shower. Anyway, after the shower, I set about making lather using nothing but the chunk of wine-colored Karma soap. It took a little while but worked well enough, although the resulting lather thinned out considerably on my face, and made me wonder if I was gong to dry the hell out of my skin. It was also my first use of a 7 O'Clock blade, and it seemed pretty comparable to the Astras I used last week with good results. I finished up by skipping the Pinaud's (which I missed -- I like the sting and tightening up feeling from it) and using up the last of the Cosmetic Lad sample I got from the Lush store. My face feels good and moisturized, not at all dry like I'd feared, and I may try this recipe again.
