Beautiful spring weather is finally here and we're getting ready for a nice hot summer. This is what I'll be using for: Menthol Monday: #6 Horsehair Super Speed/new Rapira Ginger's Garden Ice Mint SS Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Diana Sport Menthol Balsam Barbon AS YSL Pour Homme EDT The first time I ever used this Ice Mint soap I was shocked at its menthol power - it could compete with Palmolive Menthol or Godrej Menthol Mist. The scent is awesome and the lather is a pleasure to work with, and it also gives great skincare. The Diana balsam and the Barbon aftershave are both delightful potent face-freezers.

Monday, May 6, 2013 Pre: hot shower, Lush Rehab shampoo/Dirty shower gel Brush: Case, Best Soap: Lush Karma Razor: '71 Black Beauty (2 passes on 1) Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock (1) Post: Lush Cosmetic Lad Today was Lush day in my little corner of the world that other, more sane people call the upstairs bathroom. I commandeered a chunk of SWWBO's Karma soap from downstairs, and gathered together the other Lush products close at hand that I could use. Their stuff is pretty good, really nice, unusual scents, abundant lather and very "clean" feeling in the shower. Anyway, after the shower, I set about making lather using nothing but the chunk of wine-colored Karma soap. It took a little while but worked well enough, although the resulting lather thinned out considerably on my face, and made me wonder if I was gong to dry the hell out of my skin. It was also my first use of a 7 O'Clock blade, and it seemed pretty comparable to the Astras I used last week with good results. I finished up by skipping the Pinaud's (which I missed -- I like the sting and tightening up feeling from it) and using up the last of the Cosmetic Lad sample I got from the Lush store. My face feels good and moisturized, not at all dry like I'd feared, and I may try this recipe again.
