Muhle R89 Pol-silver Omega Mighty Midget Vitos Pre Shave Gold Dachs Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel Floid Black AS Holy fantastic shave Batman! Everything but the brush is brand new. No learning curve needed on any of it. How often does that happen? I just can't seem to get a better shave than from my Merkur 34c, so I picked up a fancy version. The picture doesn't do the machining on the handle justice. We found out my wife is having a baby boy this September. Nothing like some fine shaving goodies to celebrate such a wonderful occasion.

SoTN 5/8/2013 EMJ Pre Shave Face Scrub Mint Gillette Menthol Cream WD Silver Tip '46-47 Aristocrat Cold Rinse WH Osage Rub EMJ Post Shave Lotion Mint First off, the EMJ is a really nice product for 5 bucks. The face scrub has some grit so maybe not for everyone, but the post shave is very mild and not at all greasy. Not cold at all, but a bit minty. First shave with an Aristocrat, now I see why they garner as much attention as they do. May have been the smoothest aggressive shave I've ever had. I don't know if I can even call it aggressive, it was cuttin' some serious hair while feeling like my BB on 3. I always thought the price paid for these was inflated because of mystique or some such non sense. I was wrong, these razors are very very fine shavers. Will be a tough one to sell.

5/8 Hoffritz CF Lime 22mm Omega knot Well, this mornings shave started out smelling like a slightly stinky boar and lime but it sure beats stinky boar and almond. Great, prolific lather with the boar. Nice shave, good edge on the Hoffritz. Have a good one.
Thursday! Prep:hot shower Brush: Simpsons Special Best Badger Soap: MWF Razor: EJ89dl Blade: Vokshod (4) Shave: 3-pass Post: cold water rinse and Proraso aftershave Very nice shave. The Vokshod performs well in my EJ89dl, but I think the Astra did a little better. The MWF lathered much better after I followed JimPo42's advice.
Thursday: #6 Horsehair Super Speed/Rapira day 4 Speick SC Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Booster Polar Ice AS YSL Pour Homme EDT For the first time in a few weeks I didn't use anything with menthol and I actually enjoyed the shave very much. The Speick cream smells so nice and gives such great lather and skincare. The Booster Polar Ice is a definite keeper for me - it's another Canadian barbershop classic which has been around for a long time.
Congrats to you and the Mrs.!!! But you do know that finding out the baby's sex beforehand is cheating

Even when I was young, and I mean like five, I was a morning person. It was annoying for awhile, but quite an asset as I grow. After a shower with Nivea pre shave scrub it was... Jerris Hair Tonic Arko Soap (bowl/face lather) EJ89 Derby (2) Omega 48 Cold water, Skin Bracer
