Wow, thanks for that! I added inline with pic, but tiki is whitewood pine and the other is American Chestnut.
(I've been pondering what to whittle for my third TGN knot. Right now, I'm hovering over a bulldog head. I'm waiting for inspiration to help me land. It may take awhile... ;) )

Say hello to the newest addition to my den. From Bob Quinn over at EliteRazor. This was a custom piece, made of Russian Bog Oak and I picked the shape from the gallery on his website. Great work by Bob and he is a great guy to deal with.

Not quite done, but here is latest custom effort. I rather like it. Have not decided how to finish: clear coat, stain + clear coat, or paint then clear coat.

    whittled from basswood
    knot is TGN 24mm synthetic

NOTE: I had already made a critical cut defining the mustache and THEN remembered that swarden's curls up at the ends! Alas... :sad024:

Steve was kind enough to gift this lovely Semogue 1800 to me.

I am showing it the love it deserves and exercising it regularly...

Oooh la la! C'est magnifique! A very fitting scepter for our Queen. It reminds me of an old world chess piece. What wood have you used?

Thanks! It was modeled after a Queen chess piece. This one was turned in Bubinga. Unfortunately I haven't turned anything in a while due to time constraints, but I always enjoy it when I have a chance.
