Strange, usually Tabac in combination with a toothpick or a watermelon produces lather, you should check for shave gremlins :D
    The Slim looks great ;)

I can't make my self get rid of this soap, although it is far from a decent performer, and every now and then I whip it out and expect a miracle. I can get tons of wonderful looking lather that peaks like the Himalayas when bowl lathering but it goes "puff" and dissapears in an instant :D But it can pass when face lathered (without too much water).
Today was actually a pretty nice and close 3 pass shave, neglecting the fact that I almost cut through my ear lobe (the dangly part :D ).
And thus commenced the bloodbath :yoda2
But the shave was good, and the cut was purely a result of my lack of attention

    • Aftershave: Proraso lozione dopobarba
This green combo of Palmolive and Proraso has been used quite often over the past few days. Proraso is definitely a keeper. No wonder I have a barber sized bottle ready when I finish the smaller one.

Simpson Case, Speick, Superadjustable, Sunrise (3), Pinaud's

The Sunrise blade seemed just a little duller than it was yesterday -- I noticed the slightest bit of tugging. 3 and done for this blade as well, although I'm already leaning towards the Sunrise as my favorite blade. Still need to test drive a few more before I settle on a bulk purchase. The Speick cream is really good, I'm finding I can get plenty of lather for my needs with a single pea of it now and I like the way it leaves my skin feeling. Good start to the week.

Forgot to post this in the AM. Still on the road. Next time I'm out for this long I'm bringing lots of razors, not just one.

Tried a Personna stainless. Not bad!

A quickie, yet calming shave. Heading out the door for work.

Prep: Nivea for Men Sensitive Face Wash scrubbing + hot cloth for a minute afterwards.
Soundtrack: Baby Sophia crying, just awoke and now hungry :love029: Mommy is on the way.
Brush: Good ol' trusty Semogue 1520 boar.
Lather: Back to Haslinger Ewe Milk after a few experiments the past few shaves. IKEA bamboo bowl up the job.
Weapon: Mühle R89 loaded with a new Astra SP blade, just arrived at the door from Turkey.
Post: Cold water, alum, cold water finished off with Nivea for Men Sensitive asb.

DFS+. I don't think I'll ever get a BBS on my neck - damn hair grow in all directions and almost parallel to the skin  A few always seem to remain. But all in all a very pleasant shave. :happy088:

    Have a nice day.

Nice shave. The 7 a.m. blade works well for me in the EJ, but I think the Astra and Personna blue perform just a little better.

As if yesterday's Menthol Monday Shave wasn't cold enough, this one was even colder. The Lea Menthol cream has a cooling sensation which begins as soon as the brush makes contact with your face. The 444/Rubby Dubby Doo combo is so frigid that your fingers tingle for a half hour after the application. This shave was a BBS pleasure! ;) :D

Not one of my better shaves. Too much water, not enough soap, thin lather :kngt: ; knew I should have added a dab of KFM unscented before I even started. This blade is certainly not the smoothest I've used. But hey, I smell good and I look good. Ready to meet the day!

I'm not a big fan of Tabac SS, for me, it seems to lack a bit of protection while shaving. I prefer Tabac SC, I always get good shaves with it. Anyway, a decent shave this morning. Have a good one.
