I used up the last bit possible to squeeze out of the old tube. The Irisch is one of my favorites and I don't want any to go to waste. (Besides I'm cheap; economical!) lol The Old Type/Weber Wave combo is money!
Friday morning, May 24, 2013 Schick J1 Injector with Schick blade (3) Barbasol Sensitive Skin, Finish with cold water, Witch Hazel and Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve, A two-pass plus for a soothing CCS with the Schick J1 Injector! Feels great to shave with the J1 again. It's perfect for what I've been wanting lately, a mild comfortable shave that is not too close, but presentable for work. This coming week I'll be exploring the comfort level aspect of shaving. Aces!
Great shave today. I love Williams, and its an awesome superlather with Bigelow creme. Kind of cool today so I went with Old Spice. Now I have to decide whether I like Astra or Derby blades better. Be safe, drink some beer out of a can, watch some baseball, and grill some meat my fellow Americans!

24.5.2013 Prep: shower, VITOS pre/post Razor: Mühle R89 Blade: Personna Platinum (2) Brush: Omega #4033 Soap: Wilkinson Sword shave stick Post: alum, T.N. Dickinson's Witch hazel Aftershave: Honeybee Gardens Bay Rum After every shave I like to come to my girlfriend and touch cheeks with her. She's impressed every time.
Gillette slim adjustable Wilkinson sword IB LE Semogue NYSC Tonsorial Nivea high performance asb &444 Not bad shave today. I didn't care for the scent of the cream. Kind of smells musty to me. The big downer was I chipped the paint on my brush handle! I knew it would happen eventually but its still a little sad. Oh well I guess I'll have to buy 4 more brushes to make up for it. Hrmm I think 2 Whippeddog badgers and 2 Semogues should handle it...
Friday, May 24, 2013 Simpson Case, Speick razor cream, Supermax Sunrise (3), Superadjustable (2 on 2), Pinaud's Bay Rum No shave yesterday, because the previous day I went to number 3 on the Superadjustable, and didn't have enough stubble yesterday to justify the use of product. I went back to 2 today, because I like shaving every day, and it looks like I'm coming close to discovering my aggressiveness threshold. I suppose for future razors I'll be looking for "mild" ones, either an adjustable (hello, Fatboy!) or something like Above the Tie's "M" 3-piece. Have a great weekend!

Tonight's shave. Prep: hot shower, TBS Tea Tree Face Wash, Alba Botanicals Scrub. Brush: TGN Grade A. Razor: Wizamet DE Razor (from Poland, first use.) Blade: Personna Med Prep. Soap: Palmolive Stick. Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's WH Lavender, Barbon AS. The Wizamet is a pretty solid razor, not bad for my first time using it. The Palmolive stick is one of the best bargains out there. It lathers like a boss, has great skincare, and is very slick.
SOTD Friday night Prep: Hot towel, hand strop SE blade Music: Redlight King "Something for the Pain" Razor: Gem 1912 Damaskeene Blade: Personna CVS Soap: "Van der Williams" (half VDH, half Williams) Brush: AOS pure badger Shave: 3 passes, Gillette Slide on last pass, buffing on chin Post: Warm water then cold water splash, vintage Avon Deep Woods splash, Axe Chilled ASG Helluva shave. Just like my great grandpa would've had. Great aural feedback from the Damaskeene, cushiony slick leather from the "Van der Williams", nice burn from the old splash. Starting to fall in love with SE shaving apparatuses.
SotN Hot wash cloth Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn Omega 10218 GEM G Bar Warm Rinse Cold Rinse Humphreys Witch Hazel And Jasmine Cleansing Milk Cold Rinse Axe Shield PS Balm Masters Bay Rum The G Bar is just a cool razor. Period. The Humphreys Milk has become a nice change to my routine lately. When I first bought it I used it as a pre shave wash. It works great as a gentle face wash. But it wasn't as satisfying as a scrub, or something with menthol. I knew the ingredient list was impressive and I wanted to use it so I started substituting it for my witch hazel spray. This is where it has found a home in my routine. A cold rinse followed a wash with the WH/Jasmine Milk then another cold rinse ( this has to be rinsed off), and my face feels way better than just plain old WH. The botanicals in it are very slight so the fragrance is mild, not over flowery. Nice and clean. Anyway, though I'd pass on this new for me product that I never really see used.
