A nice relaxing Sunday shave. The iKon OSS is a very mild razor but it still gets the job done. I still have a little bit of stubble left when I rub my face slightly against the grain. So I have to call this one a SA (socially acceptable shave). I think for me, this razor shaves very similar to a cartridge razor. Maybe just a tad closer.

    Cheers,

    Lyndon

    117102188.jpg TAB002.jpg Sunday - my Birthday Shave:

    #6 Horsehair
    Dovo Bismarck 5/8
    Tabac Shaving Stick :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Tabac AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:

The first shave for my new year was an absolute smash success - it felt so good to not only use my Dovo, it was such a pleasure to lather up with my Tabac stick after having not used it for a long time. The scent and lather are so awesome, and the skincare is wonderful as well. The Tabac aftershave was a perfect and appropriate finish to this terrific shave. Now, I wish the rain would stop because it's been going on all week. ;) :D

    Merkur 37C (Slant)
    Astra SP (d3 and out)
    Rooney Stubby 2XL
    TSD Bourbon Vanilla
    Nice, long face lather
    Dominica Bay Rum

Another faceterbater shave. Again the Rooney + time + extensive face lathering was the key. And to think I almost sold it off last fall as an expensive under-performer. Tomorrow I will try it with a str8.

Ah...Great shave...Though the coffee is lacking a little. I gotta talk to the couple of you who roast your own. A nice fresh home roasted pour-over would be much better than the Keurig! Have a great morning all!

Since tomorrow starts Desert Island week, I decided to get my 3rd shave from the Sharp blade instead of trying a new one in the EJ89dl. The blade's not a favorite, I'll set them aside to try in a different razor sometime in the future. Had a small weeper so I used an alum block, I find it tends to dry the skin so I don't typically use it. The Simpson Special and Proraso made a great face lather. I'm very happy with the Proraso soaps now that I load the brush heavily. Overall, a very nice Sunday morning shave.

Misty and cool Sunday morning. Perfect day for a luxury shave and catching the Indy 500 on the TV. This razor is a real beauty and delivers an awesome shave. When I bought it for $45. bucks I thought it was a great price for it. Now, Joe is selling it for $30. bucks! All I can say is.....go get one!

You've probably all seen this blade before but I finished rescaling it (again) this morning. It's an Ator style handle. I really didn't need a shave today but I was looking forward to using this razor. I picked up a natural coticule (not glued) in an antique store yesterday and touched up the blade with it. It's a pretty fast stone and not quite a fine as the one I already have. It will work great for touch up work. Well, to the shop....... have a good one.
