06/04 Tuesday I started the day with a hot shower. Followed my shower with Axe Chilling facial wash. Stirling Anise, a new soap in my den. It is a tallow based soap, it lathered up nicely, very slick, good moisturizing too. A 4oz puck for $5.He is looking for feedback on a soap he is working on called Coastal, I agreed to give feedback I also got that soap and 2oz sample in my order too. Vulfix 28 Gillette Fatboy dialed into #6 Fresh blade this morning Gillette 7o'clock Black After three great fantastic passes, a warm water rinse, cold water splash. Patted dried my face, splashed on Colonia Open Road, finished with Fitness balm. A impressive DFS, once again the Fatboy rocked.
Injector Tuesday CeraVe face wash Razorock Boston Tea Party soap HIS synthetic brush Schick "L" injector Personna blade Cold wash CeraVe lotion I was over enthusiastic with my BBS shave yesterday. After a few hours, I was feeling some burn. Today I was resolved to take it gentle and easy. I planned to stop with two passes, but when the time came, I just had to go for three but I took my time and didn't apply any pressure. Got excellent result, and my face feels better for it.
Wet Shaving Products Prince Silvertip Brush Haslinger Schafmilch Shaving Soap with Sheep Milk and Lanolin Face lather Merkur Futur Personna Med Prep (2) 3 Passes Halston Z-14 After Shave Lotion BSE - Best Shave Ever! The Haslinger Soap is outstanding, maybe the best soap I've tried to date. It quickly whips into a very slick, protective, even gooey lather. It has lanolin that leaves your skin feeling moisturized post shave. The scent is so mild that it is nearly undetectable. It offers all the benefits of Mitchell's Wool Fat without being tempermental in the lathering department! While I tend to prefer vegetable based and or melt and pour soaps during the warm months, I can see myself using this very often during the cold months!
Terrific Tuesday 1. Hot shower with hot towel to face for several minutes 2. Generous dab of Floid Pre-shave oil 3. Whipped up bowl of Mitchell's Wool Fat until desired consistency is reached 4. New Astra blade into the ol' FatBoy (adjusted back to my normal '2' from the previous day's setting of '6')*** 5. Two good passes and minor follow-up attention to the stubborn areas. 6. Cold water splash & towel off 7. Refreshing slap-on of 4771 aftershave 8. Generous application of Pre de Provence balm (love this stuff!) 9. 12 minutes later, BBS & ready to face the day! ***3-day's growth required a more aggressive attack yesterday morn.

LeoK and Llyr, did you two call each other before you chose aftershaves?? I'm just kidding. I am, however, very interested on you opinion of the Captain's Choice Lime. How does it compare to other limes? Compare with Stephan? Sting? Smell? I have the Cat 'O Nine Tails, and I absolutely love it! Leo I know you have the regular Bay Rum, which do you prefer?

I received this fantastic cream from Bulgaria which smells so nice, lathers so well, and gives a good cooling effect and a lot of soothing - thanks so much, Veli. 6/8 Ern Castle Forbes Lime 22mm TGN synthetic knot This razor is still a work in progress. I made a quick set of G10 scales last night and took it to the lapping film, 50 laps on the 3 um and a 100 on the 1 um. Very nice and smooth shave this morning, much improved from yesterdays. I have to admit, I'm a fan of synthetic knots. I'm liking this TGN knot but I'm only into it for a couple shaves. Have a good one.
