1. It's like driving a car - if I worried about getting in an accident and getting maimed or killed, I'd never get behind the wheel.
Sure, break a dish and you can cut your feet. But when was the last time you dropped a dish? It happens, but in reality, not very often.

  2. The only thing I've dropped so far was an alum block. I dropped it on the counter and it shattered into three big peices and a bunch of little pieces. I hold on to my MWF pretty tightly while I'm loading the brush. Like most things, paying attention to what you're doing is the best safety precaution you can take.

  3. I used my MWF for the first time ever today. I got the ceramic bowl version from Connaught way cheaper than anywhere stateside. It was great. no problems with the lathering. I followed the instructions on Shaving101. Went exactly like they said it would although I'm sure my lather wasn't quite as good as what they showed. Very, very happy.

  4. i think mwf is one of the best...the scent reminds me of dryer sheets but the lather is thick and creamy.
definitely a must try for all.
i use a wood bowl for mine.
  5. Last night I purchased the ceramic bowl/soap and a refill puck for $36.27 Delivered cost from connaught shaving

  6. Great Deal on a much beloved soap !
  7. Yup I got my ceramic bowl with puck from Connaught for $27.88 shipped from the UK, which I believe was about $10 cheaper than I could find it at any US vender.
  8. I purchased the 'replacement' puck of MWF as I figured I'd try and use the nice wooden bowl that came with the DRHarris. A bit tall, but after a number of uses, the new puck seems to fit just fine. I really do like the MWF!

  9. Likewise. Just used it this morning, I don't understand all the hype about it being hard to lather. Great shave, skin feels like I'm 16 again. Maybe I should shave my whole body with it.
  10. For me I didn't find it hard to lather, per se. I found it hard to lather on a consistent basis - sometimes I'd hit it perfect, more often than not it was meh. For me, there are too many other good soaps (and less $$) out there that are a whole lot easier for me to get a consistently great lather. I refuse to fight with a soap, never knowing if it will give up a good lather this time 'round or not.
MWF has its fans, although they really didn't seem too interested in touting how great it is during our MWF Theme week back in Feb., only 15 posts, and 4 of those were mine!

    I wasn't here yet...
  12. Both my ceramic bowl with soap and a refill puck shipped from the UK today!
  13. I just had to try this legendary soap, and I haven't been disappointed, but here's a tip, when my Fat is used up that ceramic bowl is going to hold whatever my current flavor of TSD lanolin I happen to have at the time.
  14. Is Mitch short for Mitchell, as in Mitchells Wool Fat? You're not like heir to the MWD Empire or something are you Mitch? Nice to meet you either way.
  15. @terben
I wish. I probably wouldn't have to pay for my soap if I were.
  16. And you would probably get all the free mutton you could desire.
