PRE: Hot Towel + MR GLO Soap BRUSH: Omega 636 SOAP: C&S O&C RAZOR: Merkur 38C BLADE: Shark SS POST: Alum + Alt Innsbruck Day 4 of face-lathering for "novelty week" and still going strong. My puck of C & S came in today, right before I was about to shave oddly enough. The scent seems not quite the same as the cologne I smelled in the store. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the scent, but seems somewhat different from the cologne. It actually seemed to pair with the Innsbruck, which was quite unexpected. The efficacy of the soap itself was fantastic. The moment the brush hit it exploded with a rich creamy lather. One load of the brush lasted (4) lathers and a touch up. (4) because I decided to put some PSO on first since I was using a new blade too. As far as the blade goes, not my favorite. It seemed a bit "tuggy" right off the bat, kinda like my Astra SS on day 6. But overall a DFS. Enjoy the evening all!

Thursday night.... A wonderful surprise in the mail from my former kindergarten teacher today (whom I have reconnected with via Facebook)....an old Palmolive shaving stick tin that was her grandfathers. Rolled up inside was a paper with a little history of his life that she had written for me and then signed. Still teaching me 40 years after I graduated from her class So my shave of the day HAD to include Palmolive! SotN 6/13/2013 Nivia Face Wash w/Menthol and Vitamin E Gingers Garden Menthol Snow Soft Soap EverReady 200 w/TGN Finest 24mm GEM 1912 Cold Rinse WH Spray Barbon AS!!! Another great shave with Gingers Garden Soft Soap. The Menthol Snow was really cold and smelled awesome. Just need to figure out the proper ratios for a 3 pass face lather. Can bowl lather it fine with enough lather for 20 passes but I don't think I'm getting enough "action" when face lathering so I'm coming up short on the 3rd pass. I guess I'll just have to keep practicing.

This can not be said for Friday. Proglide do the job an effective,quickly,but not a pleasant. I recalled why I do not shave every day before I switch to DE,the answer is short...No Fun,no Joy,and again I say, this is shaving with a brand new cartridge! Unlikely to repeat soon leave for shaving my head.
Hot shower Gillette Aristocrat Polsilver SI (D-1) Palmolive shave stick Dickinson Gilroys brush Heathcote & Ivory ASB. First time with the Polsilvers today DFS, not a bad blade but NOT as smooth as Astra SP for me, well thats my firts impression the 2nnd shave may change my opinion further, But for now its Astra SP in 1st and the Polsilver/Rapira joint 2nd. Maybe I was expecting too much from the SI's, I will try it in the 59 FB tomorrow
Friday: #6 Horsehair Super Speed/7 AM day 5 US Palmolive SC (the discontinued one) Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Booster Polar Ice AS YSL Pour Homme EDT Today's shave was very smooth and close. All week I've been using my neglected soaps and creams, (as many as I could think of) and the discontinued Palmolive cream is no great loss. It lathers well, yes but the European Classic version smells so much nicer and gives much better skincare. The Polar Ice aftershave is wonderful. Have a great weekend, folks!

I know YMMV. I was not too keen Voskhod blades at all, Rapira are surprisingly good for me but only in certain razors, Astra SP seem great in all my razors. I have not given up on them its just a case of find the best razor to suit them. I have over 15 more DE razors to try yet lol. Thanks again for the blades
6/8 Ern Musgo Real Lavender 22mm TGN finest fan Krampert's Bay Rum Not a big fan of Musgo, it's o.k. but nothing I'll be looking to replace, nice scent though. Good shave this morning but the post shave skin care is a little lacking. Have a good one.
